Ramonas, showed up. I think you published it with a time in the future, and that doesn't work, I didn't know that didn't work. You have to publish it normally, then edit the time back for it to work the way my blog posts did... I'm sorry for the confusion, I'm sure it's my fault.

There is no reason to edit the time now, because the SPAMmers are gone. So go back in to your blog, and time it to right now, I'm sure it will show up.

I dunno if you have ever heard of the Merritt Parkway. But it was constructed between 1935 and 1940, and is a scenic drive where every overpass is different, and unique. Most of them are awesome. There are, in Fairfield County, Many, many trees both at the sides and in the median. This gives a canopy effect that even roads that go through the redwood forests in California don't have anything on.

Of course now they want to cut down the trees for "safety" reasons, and folks are in an uproar. Nevermind that we can't seem to even maintain this beautiful infrastructure our fathers and grandfathers built, but we have to ruin it. Why?

You keep on being proud of Detroit. Thanks for the inspiring look at structures that seem to have weathered time far more than anything we have come up with lately.

I think it has to do with mindset, Ramona. Those folks that built those buildings and the Parkway were building them to last for generations. They were proud of their craft and it showed in every loving brick layed. It was for posterity, for their children and children's children, and we still marvel at them. Now we can't even look past the next quarter, and any kind of ornament is considered wasteful. For whom is it wasteful?

Something sick about that. I don't think regular folk are like that. Only the corrupt and immoral elite. Time for a new elite, and as your mural shows, it ain't the rich that we should be honoring.

It is frustrating and confusing, but that is why it's important to work around some of these issues. The cafe is short staffed according to Al, so until that changes, we'll just have to work around this stuff.

We can do that. And then we won't be the frustrated ones. The spammers will be.

Al took care of the spam, so I'd suggest everyone edit their time to the present, and then dashboards will work without scrolling
As for the Main Page, I dunno.

It may be Al forgot to turn something on, or maybe the board is registering the deletion of all the spam and taking a while to do it.

In the meantime, your blog is still getting read and rec'd, which is waaay better than a few hours ago. That spammer was a new level of obnoxious. It was posting every minute, so that was a lot of spam that Al deleted... I'm starting to think it's a Freepers version of a DoS attack. We should try to work around such things, and not let them get the better of us.

Al came by and zapped the spam, so it's OK now. But in the future, if there is a lot of spam on the reader list, 'post time' you blog a few hours ahead, (have it "publish" at 6:00 p.m. rather than 2:00 p.m. for instance). That will keep it on the reading list, and will keep the spammers off the list, which will ensue your blog gets the attention it deserves. Just a temporary work around to a persistent problem.

These SPAMmers are relentless--posting ever minute or two. Frankly, even a fulltime spam zapper would have trouble keeping up at this rate, so threatening to boycott the Cafe isn't going to help.

If everyone post-times their blogs a few hours ahead, it alleviates the issue, at least for now. If you have a more practical or proactive solution, I'd love to hear it.
