Holy shit. That is simply amazing. I was in Springfield for the Biden rollout and that was so packed with shoulder-to-shoulder people I couldn't even see Obama. This is just unbelievable. That's gotta be over 100,000 people right there.

My wife told me the other day that a coworker of hers said she heard the (totally unfounded) rumor that "people with Obama signs and bumper stickers were getting shot at in some neighborhoods." I just sighed and said, "well I guess I'm gonna die then." She replied, "yeah, that's what I told her too." I'm not going to be living in fear.

We have signs in our windows at home, bumper stickers on our cars, buttons on our jackets, and my office is affectionately known as "Obama Central" now at the college where I work with all the Obama stuff I have in here, including some well-worn rally signs a student who interned at the DNC convention brought back for me. (I gave away my white Hillary sign from the convention to a friend who was a die hard Hillary supporter who is still bitter.) Institutions of higher education are often bastions of liberal thought, so I can get away with this here.
