I live in Chicago and I personally know 10 people who volunteered in IN (plus myself).
Obama will win all the IL surrounding states because of that.

I am probably in the minority in the Dem party but I think Joe the Weasel was perfectly within his rights to support John McCain if that is who he thought was going to be a better Pres. I don't think that demonizing him for that is any better than the Repugs should demonize Chuck Hagel (er, his wife) or Colin Powell (etc etc etc etc) for supporting Obama.

However, that said - a) I don't think that is why he supported McSame and b) he crossed the line with the slurs - And now all of a sudden, he respects him. He is definitely trying to save his arse - and for that he should be demonized.

As much as I enjoy the complete and utter hypocrisy of the Palin spending spree (she really is Caribou Barbie!) the real Palin story(s) of last night is her response to the 'What does the VP do?' question and the findings of the NBC poll - she is a bigger drag on McCain than Bush.

I guess I should have known that Obama had broken the bank when I started seeing ads in Chicago.
We are a horribly expensive market and the only reason to do it is for the NW corner of Indiana - only 10% of the market. The rest is preaching to the choir here in IL.
