The recent "debate" on health care is driving me nuts, every day there are people going around spreading false information and make false arguments. They know they are lying and they know what they are doing and they just keep on doing it. So much of the media either let them get away with it or treat them like they actually believe what they are saying. There is no debating with these people on those topics, if you treat it like a real debate you are going to lose no matter what. The reason why is because they aren't trying to win a debate on healthcare against you, they are trying to make sure the audience doesn't think you won, because if you don't win they win. If you never saw Thank_You_for_Smoking I would recommend it. Heres part of the movie where tobacco lobbyist is talking to his son about how to debate.
Joey Naylor: ...so what happens when you're wrong?
Nick Naylor: Whoa, Joey I'm never wrong.
Joey Naylor: But you can't always be right...
Nick Naylor: Well, if it's your job to be right, then you're never wrong.
Joey Naylor: But what if you are wrong?
Nick Naylor: OK, let's say that you're defending chocolate, and I'm defending vanilla. Now if I were to say to you: 'Vanilla is the best flavour ice-cream', you'd say...
Joey Naylor: No, chocolate is.
Nick Naylor: Exactly, but you can't win that argument... so, I'll ask you: so you think chocolate is the end all and the all of ice-cream, do you?
Joey Naylor: It's the best ice-cream, I wouldn't order any other.
Nick Naylor: Oh! So it's all chocolate for you is it?
Joey Naylor: Yes, chocolate is all I need.
Nick Naylor: Well, I need more than chocolate, and for that matter I need more than vanilla. I believe that we need freedom. And choice when it comes to our ice-cream, and that Joey Naylor, that is the defintion of liberty.
Joey Naylor: But that's not what we're talking about
Nick Naylor: Ah! But that's what I'm talking about.
Joey Naylor: ...but you didn't prove that vanilla was the best...
Nick Naylor: I didn't have to. I proved that you're wrong, and if you're wrong I'm right.
Joey Naylor: But you still didn't convince me
Nick Naylor: It's that I'm not after you. I'm after them.
[points into the crowd]
Whenever someone debates one of these loons on TV they must go in with the mind set that the person they will be debating will behave like this and they need to not fall for the trap. They can't let them sucker them into some debate on "death panels" or any other made up distraction because if your spending your time debating on worthless crap like that then your already losing. Call it out for the lie it is and call out the person spreading it then demand the debate get back on topic and that you won't waste anymore time on their distraction.

So in NC Obama has about 56.7 percent of the vote which is most likely to go up slightly due to votes in pro Obama areas not done counting. Such as my home county of Mecklenburg which went 7-3 Obama. Hillary got about 41.8 of the vote which is most likely go down slightly due to what i said above. So what does the media do? They round down for Obama to 56 and round up for Hillary to 42 and round down the undecided vote of like 1.5 or something to 1.

Who else sees this uneven math as BS? They are not using the same calculations to determine the percentages. The most accurate way to put it IMO would be to have it 57-42. When all the counting is done however the most accurate might be 57-42-1 which is a least a 15 point difference NOT A 14. Its so dam annoying how they are using different ways of rounding in different states. In PA they rounded Obama down and Clinton up to change it from 9 to 10 and in NC they are round Obama down and Clinton up to make it a 14 point instead of 15.

56.7 - 41.8 = 14.9 yet it is a 14 point win for Obama not 15. and PA was a 9.3 or w/e win for Hillary and it gets bumped up to 10.... WTF!!!

From a CNN article on their main page "Obama held a 14-point lead over Clinton" Even though CNN's own numbers say its a 15-point lead.

/rant
"North Carolina in Every Respect the Opposite of Pennsylvania: On the
day Pennsylvania Democrats vote in a primary that has seen opinion
polls fluctuate wildly on how big her possible win might be, North
Carolina Democratic Primary voters are steady-steady, and not with
Clinton on top, but Obama. Obama's advantage has fluctuated
imperceptibly, or not at all, in four tracking polls conducted over the
past 90 days. Today, 14 days till NC votes are counted, Obama leads by
9 points. In five previous tracking polls, going back to before the
Michigan Primary, Obama's lead has been 4 points, 10 points, 8 points,
10 points. NC men are stable. NC women are stable. Voters under age 50
are stable. Voters age 50+ are stable. Black voters are stable. White
voters are stable. Charlotte voters are stable. Moderates are stable.
Registered Democrats are stable. Unaffiliated voters are stable."
http://www.surveyusa.com/client/PollReport.aspx?g=7e1ed059-9ef0-4a2c-a2a6-3cbef8ca9803

In NC the AA vote is expected to be over 40 percent.
In NC the 18-34 vote is expected to be higher then the 65+ vote, very different then PA.
The amount of voters who have college education in the democratic primary in NC is also much higher in NC. There has been a large increase in voter registration in the last few months, mainly with AA and the youth vote.
Many polls are showing Obama running just slightly under Hillary with white voters overall.

So with High AA and Youth and Educated = Obama wins, it also helps that pretty much everyone has endorsed Obama in NC.

might cast his vote for Senator Barack Obama to aid his emergence as
the candidate for the Democrats in America’s bid to elect a new
President.
Carter, who is a Super Delegate from Georgia State, gave
this hint at a media interaction after the Carter Center Awards for
Guinea Worm Eradication in Abuja yesterday.
Carter, who was
accompanied by his wife Rosalynn, did not profess a direct support for
Obama but rather choose to make a veiled statement.
“We are very
interested in the primaries. Don’t forget that Obama won in my state of
Georgia. My town which is home to 625 people is for Obama, my children
and their spouses are pro- Obama.
My grandchildren are also pro-
Obama. As a Super Delegate, I would not disclose who I am rooting for
but I leave you to make that guess," he said."
