<p>Republicans were so confident that they had all the answers, and then they got elected and controlled all branches of government, and all their ideas failed, because, well, they were all lousy ideas. </p>

<p>But, since they believe their ideas are incapable of being lousy, there must be some other explanation for the mess their ideas created and the fact that the electorate repudiated the GOP at the polls. </p>

<p>A vast Acorn conspiracy is about the only explanation they've got left, so they're going to run with it.</p>]]>
