Piotr, thanks for explaining the Rosenblatt piece to the apparatchiks here who believe that words don't have meaning unless one can find a single sentence spelling it all out.

Also, the Jewish community is totally split. Most (over 70%) oppose the views of the SQL. After all, no one could have voted for Obama if they favored continuing the occupation. I mean, how dumb would they have to be to know that white rightwing hawk McCain was their guy and not African American antiwar antineocon Obama.

The 78%-22% split for Obama tells us everything we need to know although I would subtract from that 22% about 15% who are just Jewish Republicans and vote for the GOP based on an affinity for that party on taxes, etc. I'd say 10% of the community, tops, are the hawks we are always hearing from. Maybe 5%.

I didn't know I altered my piece to reflect your take. It was not intentional. I think your reading is entirely off and that the whole point of the piece is that the organizations are worried that Obama is pushing Israel too hard to make peace. They prefer the status quo and are worried deeply by Obama's quest to end the conflict.
That is what the article says. You, my good man, should not take the SAT's.

I am amused and delighted by your deep sensitivity to any slighting of the positions of these Jewish organizations. You are pretty much all alone out there.
