Putin's Pot Calls the Kettle Black
A report by Inspector General Glenn Fine's office sharply criticized the FBI for how, without a court order, it demanded and received records such as customer information from telephone companies, Internet service providers, banks and credit card firms.
Abuse of authority is a serious matter. I trust that the Democrats will have the will to do something about these specific instances. However, do we really need to hear from Vladimir Putin's Foreign Ministry on the subject?
And here's what Vlad the Slayer's Foreign Ministry statement had to say, wishing rhetorical revenge for the US State Department report hammering Russia for stacking up dissidents' bodies, killing free press(literally) and hiding the lies about the violence with stymied or false investigations:
"Washington has long practiced double standards in the sphere of human rights, depending on whether one state or another acts in accordance with (U.S.) political interests," the statement said. "These standards are particularly clearly visible against the background of what is happening now in Iraq, Afghanistan and at the military base in Guantanamo with the participation of the U.S. armed forces."
He means "are not produced by the government investigated," just as is done in the Sovietesque Conflict of Interest State of Putintocracy, where suspect executives investigate themselves for high crimes and misdemeanors and always come out vindicated, somehow. Uhuh, uhuh.
Here is what really happens in the USA that you'll never see in Putin's regime so long as Putin flies the black flag of authoritarian KGB-fascism over subject Russia:
A report by Inspector General Glenn Fine's office sharply criticized the FBI . . .
And then the free press goes crazy. These links being case-in-point.
US government is still accountable. The Putintocracy is not. In fact, the Putintocracy is doing its level best to provoke the US into the very kind of preventive, defensive counter-intelligence and counter-terrorism activities deemed necessary to protect itself from the sort of threats arising from the resentments left uncovered by a certain former Red empire.
