your complaints are not about class but a matter of being class-less white trash... since when is being a class-less piece of white trash something to be desired? americans have suffered 8 years of a class-less piece of white trash in the white house... americans desire someone in the white house whom they can point as an example to their children... certainly, there's nothing about you, Sarah Palin, which is a proper example of decent americans...

The GOP's attempt to make hay over Elian Gonzalez is pure GOP racist politics... when are we going to move in to the 21st century. Nothing like talking about an Hispanic child to inflame the ignorant bigot wing (90% of the party) of the GOP.... it's the best the GOP can do in attacking the "nigger president".... poor old Richard Nixon and his Southern Strategy are rolling in their graves... how dare Americans put a person of color in the WHITE House.... Is anyone asking John McCain to disown this blatant bigotry?

Not quite sure what to make of this. TPM has provided a link to a story about an accused priest pedophile, Joseph Illo, who is so arrogant as to suggest Catholics voting for Obama have committed a mortal sin. That Illo's comments are inconsistent with Catholic teachings as noted by his bishop is bad enough. That TPM is promoting a pedophile's story is over the top.

Josh has just reported this incident of GOP microtrageting gone awry: http://www.talkingpointsmemo.com/archives/241870.php
Whether the call was made by the McCain campaign or not, it is a sad reminder bigotry is still alive and well in America. Yes, progress... great progress, has been made over the last 45 years. It is an indication of how much more work must be done. It is, also, an indication of the challenges that a President Obama will face when he first walks into the White House. It will be up to all of us to do our part in assuring that those challenges are met headon and transformed into opportunities for creating a less hateful society with the full knowledge that we can change this country and even the world by doing so.

There is a downside of the Powell endorsement of Obama. Powell is a black man and the McCain campaign is focused on denigrating non-white Americans. The Powell endorsement feeds into this narrative of Obama as nigger. According to the McCain narrative, Powell is a nigger and, of course, he will endorse a nigger. Let's get real. This campaign is all about race and racism. It doesn't matter that the nigger candidate is the better candidate. This campaign is all about not letting the niggers have any political power.

The GOPers object to PC language. So, let's do some straight-talk express language. Everything we've heard from Sarah Palin since she became the VP nominee has demonstrated nothing more than she is a BULLSHIT ARTIST.

After spending the evening reviewing the youtube.com clips of Palin's interviews, I've come to a profound conclusion: Sarah Palin is a very skilled BULLSHIT ARTIST. Let us quit talking about her ignorance (tho', it is real)... let's talk about the the reality: she is a very accomplished bullshit artist.... nothing more, nothing less, nothing we don't expect from the the GOP. Can we not begin using the term, "bullshit artist" to describe Palin? Let's call it like it is. Sarah Palin is a BULLSHIT ARTIST.

Gotta love Sarah Palin... finally, the uneducated trailer trash crowd that has given us 8 years of ignorance in the White House have another candidate they can believe in. Sadly, the trailer trash crowd do not put their country first. They put it last. At last I understand the Founding Father's vision which decisively denied the vote to trailer trash.

Fact #1: John McCain is alive today becaue he sold out to the enemy during his captivity.
Fact #2: The Vietcong killed any prisoner that was not of use to them. Hence, McCains very survival demonstrates his cooperation with the Vietccong. The only question that remains is what secrets he told the Vietcong.
Fact #3: If McCain is the hero he purports to be, every American has to right to know about severity of his PTSD. By his own account, he suffers from PTSD. Do we really want a president who suffers from such a severe psychiatric illness as PTSD. By his own admission, he is psycho. He cannot claim to be some kind of war hero and still claim to be psychologically balanced.
Fact#4: After Friday's debate, it is obvious McSame is a nut-case...the man has no grasp of even recent history...
Fact #5: Even his own campaign recognizes Sarah Palin is a brainless affirmative action VP choice and has set back back women's equality by 20 years in this country... Palin has single-handedly set back the progress that Hilary made.

Thanks to Charlie Gibson, we now know that Palin is an idiot.... she doesn't even know what the Bush Doctrine is.... what an embarassment Palin is to American women who are actually intelligent and qualified to do more than be a brood sow barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen.
September 7, 2008, 2:06AM
There is no rational explanantion for McSame's choice of Palin except the GOP's continuing hatred towards the majority non-white, non-male Americans. McSame, who has spent a quarter century in DC defending the prefered position of white men has now chosen a so-called female running mate who has dedicated her life to putting women and non-white skinned folks into their place. What McSame doesn't understand is that this is 2008 and the politics of the 20th century do no apply. Bigots who were acceptable a decade ago are no longer acceptable in 2008. The old bigots are dying off... thank god... so, McSame needs to find a new message.. educated Americans understand that McSame/Palin are no better than Reagan his racist/sexist bigotry.

During Obama's speech on Thursday evening, MLK's "I Have A Dream" speech at the Lincoln Memorial was front and center. But, there is Marian Anderson's 1939 concert at the Lincoln Memorial that added even more meaning (to me). Hear her:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YDMdNXut8Yc Read about her and Eleanor Roosevelt's role:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marian_AndersonHow Eleanor and Marian must be cheering Obama from heaven.

To put it bluntly: We need to bring Palin brought down before McSame gives his acceptance speeach on Thursday night. Do to McSame what he did to McGovern in 1972. There was and is no shame in Sen Eagleton obtaining counseling; however, Palin's scandals are clear abuses of power. Bring her down, now and we destroy McSame and his GOP party! Her "I wish I weren't a woman" positions are repulsive to any decent American.
