Cindy McCain was born with a silver spoon in her mouth. She has accomplished nothing in adulthood except being a prescription drug junky and the trophy wife of a 3rd rate US senator. She's never had to work to put food on the table or to pay the rent thanks to her rich Daddy.

Michelle Obama was born on the southside of Chicago to lower middle class parents. By her own will and intelligence, she graduated from Princeton University and recieved her law degree from Harvard Univerity. She then became a successful lawyer and hospital administrator all the while having the pay the bills without a sugar daddy's help.

Interestingly, McCain chose an inferior as a second wife after cheating on his first wife. Obama chose a true intellectual peer as a wife and has been faithful to her since before their marriage. Do we really want a philandering, pussy-whipped man like McCain in the White House who refuses to pay his taxes as do the rest of us?

The AP has reported that James Dobson, founder of the wacko-right Focus On the Family, has denounced Sen Obama's biblical understanding.  I called Focus On the Family and asked them from what accredited university has Dobson received a graduate degree in theology and/or biblical studies.  Their response, "Dr. Dobson does not hold a graduate degree in theology or biblical studies."  So, my question is:  Why is the AP pushing the story?  Dobson has no more knowledge about theology or the Bible than the nearest fence post.

You gave a new meaning to the phrase, "public service." You showed me how to embrace and honor my father (now 85), to recognize his greatness. You did this for an entire country that is just now coming to terms with a transition of one generation (ours) to the next (our children).

You demonstrated that asking tough questions of our leaders is Citizenship 101. You showed us that the truth is always better than the untruth. Or, in the words of the late Carl R. Rogers, "The facts are always friendly."

I thank God that you have made me better, even as imperfect as I am. Farewell, farewell, farewell good friend.

Vanity Fair has finally broken the silence of the unspoken narrative, underlying Hillary Clinton's failed effort to win the Democratic president nomination, in its aptly titled article, The Comeback Id. 

The 2008 primary season has demonstrated Americans are tired of the sleeze and mean spiritedness that has characterized both the Billary and Dubya administrations.  For progessives, Obama offers a brilliance and toughness without the sleeze and meanness of Bill and Hillary Clinton --or of Dubya.  And the GOPs nomination of John McSame demonstrates even GOPers are tired of too-smart-by-half  and moronic assholes in the White House.

While the Vanity Fair article reads like old history, it is important to know that history so we do repeat it again.  The article demonstrates that Obama has, indeed, turned the page.

After reviewing the press coverage of Saturday's hearing, I have to come to the conclusion that Hillary's "base" of old white women would prefer to elect McCain as president. They cannot and will not accept the idea that an African-American is the better candidate.  Their sexist and racist views illustrate the failed entitledment approach by Hillary.  Fr. Pfleger comments were statements of truth.  Hillary and her psycho supports cannot stand the idea that an African-American man has bested her.  How dare an African-
American man challenge her faux entitlement!  What Hillary does not understand is that we are living in 2008 and not 1968.   What Hillary does not understand is that she represents the worst of the 1970s, 80s, and 90s.  She claims to be a fighter and yet, she failed to kick her cheating husband out.  This demonstrates her weakness.  She simply did not have the balls to stand up for herself.  A majority of Americans understand this.  And for anyone who is actually interested in advancing the Democratic agenda, Hillary is the antichrist bitch.

I've been following the Intrade market for past five months. Over that time, Hillary has never risen above a 10, while Obama has risen from a 33 to a 93 over the same time. 

Why aren't Hillary's folks willing to put their money where their mouths are? Why are investors willing to put their money on Obama?  

Clearly, the Hillary crowd is all hot air... they don't have the testicular fortitude to actually risk anything.

How very sad.... seems that Billary doesn't get it. 

So many seemed puzzled as to how Hillary lost the Democratic nomination.  It is not great a secret.  HRC lost the nomination because she is and was the weaker candidate.  In 2008, the female candidate lost because she was and is a bad candidate and the AA candidate won because he is the better candidate.  Pretty simple.

Forty years ago, Richard Nixon gave us the "Southern Strategy" which consisted of going after the white bigot vote in the south.  Now, we have Hillary Clinton adopting the same strategy.  Go after the uneducated, low-skilled, homophomic, white bigots... that is her "base."  The Democratic Party's failures from 1980s onward is a result of the party's failure to reject outright bigotry whether based on gender, race, or sexual orientation and it's failure to embrace progressives who find bigotry repulsive (think the Howard Dean vote in Florida).  The only reason that "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" (DADT) became law in 1993 is because the Clintons pandered to the bigot vote and pursued the 50 percent plus 1 strategy.  The Clintons seem to think there is an equivilency between being white trash (the Clintons) and being AA.  Sorry, they are not equivalent.

What is now abundantly clear for HRC, is the realization that she needs to pander the bigot vote to get the nomination.... how Republican... sounds like RMN in 1968.

In yesterday's endoresement of HRC by Gov Easely, Mr. Easley enaged in insulting gay voters and pandering to the bigoted wing of the south...

I have one question, why would any self-respecting American gay person vote for HRC... Billary is nothing more than bigotry...

Most Americans have a gut sense that HRC is not what we want in a national leader.  Most understand that she will do anything to win... including lying, cheating, and stealing.  For many months, there has been direct evidence of her ethical failings.   She was fired from her first post-law school job of stealing and lying.  In two well-documented books. I have expended way too much energy into the Obama vs HRC debate when the reality is that Obama is the Democratic nominee.  I will no longer enable HRC's quixotic bid for the White House.

In short, HRC no longer matters in American politics.  Thank God!

Hence, I will focus my future energies on defeat John Bush-MCain in November.  This mean I will continue to attack HRC's efforts to get John Bush-McCain elected in HER hope that she can run again in 2012.  Frankly, I am tired of HRC and McCain battling over the re-writing of the history of the 1960s and 1970s.  I want and need a candidate who is living in 2008.

Progressives need to understand that HRC is about making John Bush-McCain the next president.  It is her only hope.  I will do everything in my powers to prevent John Bush-McCain from being the next president including destroying HRC in the process.

There is a silver-lining to HRC's defeat in 2008.  First,  it frees the Democratic Party from the suffocating control of angry, old white women who don't and didn't have the gonads to reach for greatness.  Second, it frees the Party from its 40-year Vietnam psychopathy.  Third, it finally frees the country of Herbert Hoover.  Fourth, it frees the country from the Goldwater curse... recall, HRC is and was a Goldwater Girl.

Yes, Cindy McCain is a trophy wife.  But, you have to respect her willingness to stand up for her PTSD-afflicted  husband.  It is not easy living with a psychiatrically damaged person.

We all recognize and honor John McCain's Navy service and the years he spent as a POW in Vietnam.  Lesser persons, including myself, would have not survived the experience of such torture.

What has not been discussed is McCain and PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder).  The psychological literture makes it  clear, McCain did and does suffer from PTSD.  PTSD certainly puts his emotional explosiveness in context.  One does not get over PTSD; it isn't like the common cold.  Rather, at best, one learns to live with PTSD.

So the following questions present themselves:  (1) Has McCain received the necessary therapy to bring his PTSD under control?  (2) What impact will McCain's PTSD have on his ability to make considered, objective decisions as Commander in Chief? (3) Can McCain handle the stresses of the presidency in view of his PTSD and his age?

It is revealing that McCain has yet to release his medical records. Is it possible he is not releasing these records because they demonstrate his unfitness for service?  Probably.

Today's media trumpets the announcement of the death of Charlton Heston.  While some give passing notice to his support of the radical right wing, none in the MSM accurately indict him for the uncountable deaths his so-called "convictions" have caused.  For more than forty years, Heston supported the NRA gun nuts and the GOP warmongers.  Certainly, his work as an actor is worthy of note.  However, the legacy of his involvement in things political leaves a legacy of death and destruction on the battlefields of Iraq and in America's cities.  The best I can say, at least his hands are now cold and dead.
