I wanted to find out if she was even a citizen of our country. I never found out that fact. I wanted to find a motive for this woman to want to destroy Barack Hussien Obama. I could not find anything. I am at a loss. I just simply do not understand why this woman would go to these lengths to throw over a government that she probably has nothing to do with.
I have come to the point where if I don't like what my usual 'good guys' say, I just quit reading them. I know that is bad, but I can't help it. If there is nothing I can do about it...why read it and get my panties in a twist for nothing??? I know that Obama is smarter than anyone I have had ever..for a President. I know that he is 'playing chess when the rest of us are playing checkers'...(copied from many others!!) I am willing to take a breath and let President Obama do what he thinks is right. After awhile...we will jump back in and push him where we need him to go. I believe that he will listen to us, and will do what he can if he is 'pushed'. That may have to wait until his second 2 years, or even his second term. Meanwhile...just remember what we are coming off of. Cheney/bush. The with-out-a-doubt most horrible eight years in the history of this country. We have no way to go but UP.
I just wanted to say one more thing. He said today that he does not know how it feels to put one's life on the line for one's country. He meant that he never wore a uniform. But, I would say that he did put his life on the line for his country. A black man running for President of the United States IS putting his life on the line. I realize no one speaks to this issue, but I feel safe here. Barack Obama, his wife and partner Michelle, they are just as brave as any soldier. They put their lives on the line for this country.

Hannity thinks waterboarding is no big deal. That is what he said. He does not think it is torture. He also is the person who initially suggested that he would do it for charity. That's when Olbermann said he would donate a thousand dollars for every second Hannity could tolerate it, and Olbermann would double it when Hannity admitted that waterboarding is torture. I think, some very savy smart person should start a website where we could all pledge money like they do for cancer. And then keep on Hannity until he actually puts his 'mouth where our money is'... I would donate 10 dollars a second and double it like Keith. I think alot of good could come of this because a monumentally stupid and ignorant right-winger would be allowed to see the error of his ways and, at the same time, raise alot of money for a very good cause. This is what you could call a 'win-win' situation.

Doctors..lawyers...city council members...or her neighbors??? Would she have to beg for this proceedure? This was the way it was handled before Roe vs Wade.

I never expected to read anything like this over here.
Do you think that maybe CNN did not allow this ad because it is a stunning breach of simple privacy? Not to mention that he is our President, and he deserves much better.

It amazes me how these people think that they can dictate to others what they can do with their own bodies. Would you, Mr. Woodson, allow a congressman to make you shave your head? Or, to be more personal...make you get a vasectomy at some arbritary age chosen by the legislature? No, of course not. But, you would make a woman give birth. Exceptions? Rape, incest? A medical condition of the mother, or the child? And, if you do allow exceptions, how would these exceptions be documented..would the woman have to go before a board of 'judges', ( of course, they would all be men) and beg for the proceedure? I ask this, because that is exactly how it used to be done. Would these 'judges' be doctors, legislators, county-commisioners, or her neighbor?

I already know that there would be no 'poverty' exception. And therin lies the worst hypocracy. When you 'pro-life' people work to help the poor, educate teenagers about sex and make contraception available for everyone...when everyone has basic health-care, all children have a home and enough food to eat and a great education, then you can scream about abortions. Instead, you push for 'abstinance-only' education, (ask Bristol Palin how well that works), you keep Plan B from being freely availalble, (and don't give me the righty talking point that Plan B is an abortion, because it is not), and make women pay for their birth-control pills, while letting insurance companies cover Viagra.

You people behave like we just love getting abortions. Let me tell you, as a woman who has three children, I can only imagine the gut-wrenching torture the decision to have an abortion would be. From reading your posts, I feel that you have a very poor imagination.

I may be a little prejudiced, but I think Charley Crist is pretty smart, also. He embraced the whole package whole-heartedly from the very beginning. And made no bones about it. He was on one of the shows today and said, like Arnold said, "I'll take any money anyone else doesn't want". Crist's approval rate is near 70%. When more repubs are like those two, this country will be much better off.

It is just so amazing that we are reading every day stuff we read years ago. I remember reading about the palletts of billions of dollars...the wheelbarrows...the 'cost-plus' no-bid contracts. Here is another blast from the past...remember a woman named, (and this is one reason why I remember her) Bunnintine Greenhouse? And I apologise to her in advance for my spelling. She was a government watch-person who was trying to call attention to these horrid contracts and she sort of dissapeared and was never heard of again. I wonder if someone will think to ask her a few questions...she was a really great stand-up-guy. I think she was demoted. Here is another one...in Michael Moore's Farinheight 9/11 he showed a 'convention' of 'contractors' that were working to get their contracts..I remember someone saying that Iraq was the place to make a fortune.
Man...there is so much crap in my head sometimes I think it will explode. The repubs are having a fit about this stimilus package...all the money we have to spend. Well...they don't care about all the money we spent paying off 'contractors' that did not do the job...(two of our soldiers were actually electrocuted, one in the SHOWER because of bad building practises). We threw billion after billion at contractors...and nothing to our troops. Heads just have GOT TO ROLL!!!

My son worked for them a few years ago. They had a 'policy' that said if an employee was caught stealing, if he or she gave up another name of a thief, it would help. Well, my son's name was given up. He was not a thief..but he turned out to be a very angry employee. At first he was stunned and speechless. Then he was pissed beyond belief. He quit and went to work for Sears. He is now working for NASD. A financial wachdog whose CEO is Ms. Schapiro who has been tapped as the head of the Obama SEC.
What goes around sometimes really does come around. It is time for cheaters and liars to 'come to Jesus'. I am sick of the crap. We need to make these people accountable.

What a relevant story you have to tell, Sleepin. So many people forget just how badly Reagan hurt the Unions, and by doing that, how badly he hurt the middle class. It was the beginning of the downfall.
I have to believe that things will change...Unions will begin to be strong again. The middle class will be strong again. That the 'upper-class' will realize that they cannot make any money unless the middle class has money to spend. We are the drivers of this whole country, period. I believe that the 'community-organizer' will help us help ourselves.

I wonder if those people in the poll were Faux News watchers. It goes to show just how ignorant people are, as this is NOT a bailout, but a LOAN.
The sole purpose of the southern repubs who filibustered this loan, was to bust the union. Period. They wanted to union to actually tear up their contracts with the workers. Make them irrelevant.
Here is just a little information for you. The state of Alabama gave Toyota and the other automakers (NON UNION) who moved there from foreign countries millions and millions of dollars in tax incentives and breaks to build there. So, why is it so awful for us to give a little help to Americans? While keeping the profits here in the US instead of sending them to Japan and Germany etc?
No, your Senators want Americans to make less money. How patriotic.
You and everyone who is against this loan should be ashamed.

Funny. People who do not live a certiain lifestyle have so many thoughts about how that lifestyle is lived. I am a divorced and re-married Navy spouse. My first husband and the father of two of my children, was one of those sailors who had a girlfriend in every port. He also, after we divorced, was very good about financially caring for his children. My second husband, also a Navy man, a submariner, did NOT have any girlfriends in any ports, because submarines do not get port calls. We are still married, he is retired from the Navy. But...I can tell you all, military life is hard. The spouse left home with the children has the weight of Atlas on his or her shoulders. We fly by the seat of our pants. We raise our children the best we can. Alone. Because we are moved every two years, we have no support from family or friends. We are truly alone. In my day we had no e-mail. We had FamilyGrams. A once a month missive that we sent that only had good things. If the dog died...well, don't include that. In fact, before the submariners went out, they put in writiing whether or not they wanted to be told of a death in their family. They may or may not be allowed to be returned to their home.
Military life is horrible...for families. I hope things will imporove with Obama as our President.

I guess it is Gregory's turn. He has paid his dues. But, he is just a shill, like all the rest of them. Ask the easy questions, ask the questions that will insure that you will be able to ask another question. That is the name of the game.
"Prup" mentioned Linda Ellerbee. She was great. I had forgotten her...I watched her in the middle of the night when I was feeding my babies. In the late 70's, early 80's. Before cable. she was wonderful.
Rachel is smart, and she askes the right questions. But she needs a show that will let her ask the right questions. She is where she needs to be right now. She will go far...our Rachel.

Where was the investigation on the Katrina Debacle? Never started,,,of course!! Let him stay in the caucus..or change to a repub. Doesn't matter. He has no integrety, no honesty, so no one knows how he will vote at any time. If he changes to a repub, this will be his LAST senate term. Remember...there are NO repubs left in New England.
