[False Alarm] If it is really true that news bureaus RALLIED TO DEFEND FOX, they are a bunch of TRIBALIST, MASTURBATORY NINNIES (Say it ain't so if you ain't ninnies; we're *listening*)!

UPDATE: Great, so the story was wrong! Good to hear.  No prob.

With the White House showing such courage in the face of swine, I am much relieved that the reported cowardly buffoonery did not occur!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/10/23/white-house-loses-bid-exclude-fox-news-pay-czar-interview/

Fox News is the scourge of billionaire-funded overseas propaganda in our free society.  Nothing less absolutely, and that's well been proved.  See, the old Frontline, if one was too frivolously unprofessional and irresponsible to take such a ridiculous/embarassing stand without the rank minimal step of looking it up!!   If it is really true that genuine journalists bandied together to defend repulsive disinformation merely because certain deal-pushing producers investing in Glenn Beck et al, comically also called themselves "journalists" when convenient, that is a black disgrace that cannot and should not be forgiven.

Ever!  And they are no better than Beck, now that he is their cohort, if true (and pray it isn't this way!). And so I am still hoping that they are not so utterly **cretinous!**  I want to believe that these executives are not so spittingly disdainful of real journalists (who may have foolishly put their faith in their employers) to sell out all, so as to stand by a for-big-profit foreign propagandist scum.  One who has notoriously shamed several other countries along the way, as EVEN THE MOST CURSORY LOOK would reveal!!  The execs just *couldn't* be so breezily dismissive of their professional ethics, could they?

Say it ain't so, Joes!  Say you ain't the ultimate patsy tools and kindly explain ***why not***, okay?!

Yeah. What a bunch of morons. I hope the White House just decides to go without coverage if the news networks are going to try to determine who he allows interviews to. Let's see how the networks feel if he just lets them all 'eat cake' if you know what I mean.

user-pic

The American people get it, Synch. Fox is not journalism! Makes sense, journalist don't usually organize crazed political rallies that accuse the President of being Pol Pot, eh?

But now the journalists seem to have a change of heart. The most despicable propaganda is okay if their close buddies engage in it. This is so utterly shameful. OMG!

user-pic

Actually I think the 'journalists' are just protecting a potential job option in a dying industry.

user-pic

You know the penises at Fox are calling all their bodies, SOME VERY CLOSE TO US, and hammering them. Please, please. This is so cowardly. I'm disgusted, honestly.

user-pic

"buddies"

user-pic

I'm disgusted too. (But also your imagery doesn't help much. Ewww glen beck's pasty... bodies.just Ewww). As dd might say 'crosses himself'

user-pic

Okay, you can calm down now, OT...

TPM has the real scoop:

http://tpmdc.talkingpointsmemo.com/2009/10/wh-were-happy-to-exclude-fox-but-didnt-yesterday-with-feinberg-interview.php?ref=fpblg

Still, that was a nice little rant, as always. ;)

user-pic

Good link.

Oh and OT, I agree with LisB.

EXCEPT WHO REALLY WISHES TO CALM DOWN. HAHAHAHA

user-pic

Well, just a false alarm, old pal! I'm really relieve that the crazy story is false.

I'm guessing you aren't the type that's ever participated in sports. If this bombastic, childish outburst is how you normally deal with adversity, I'd hate to see how you'd react after getting your ass kicked on the athletic field.

Fox News is absolutely no different from CNN or MSNBC. All three entities are businesses attempting to make a buck through advertising. Accusing Fox News of not being a real news outlet is lying saying Michael Moore is not an investigative journalist.

And, just for the record, if you think Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity are even one inch further to the right than Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow are to the left, then you are absolutely brainwashed and have no sense of objectivity.

You know, no offense, but it's gullible morons like you that end up electing insidious shitheads like Nancy Pelosi into office. Anyone who has ever voted for that woman should be viewed as a Treasonist.

user-pic

Right back at ya, babe.

user-pic

Can't quite get over the fact that Obama won and you got your ass kicked, eh? I think your last paragraph kinda' says about all you really need to know regarding just how "fair and balanced" you are in determining full equivalence between Fox News and anything else promoted as journalism.

"Treasonist?" Really? Too funny.

user-pic

SleepinJeezus:

Are you insinuating that Nancy Pelosi is somehow not an insidious shithead? I've yet to hear a convincing argument to the contrary.

Her continued re-election is not the only Treasonable offense when it comes to voting. Michele Bachmann immediately comes to mind. Chris Dodd and Chuck Schumer, too.

It's nice that people like Robert Byrd, Trent Lott, and Tom Daschle are out of Washington.

But getting back on point, I still cannot figure out why the lefties are so incensed about Fox News? It's not as if FNC is a non-profit or anything. The hosts and program directors at FNC are doing their job. If you're going to assess blame, aim it at the people who actually watch that crap.

I'll repeat: Sean Hannity and Glenn Beck are no further to the right than Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow are to the left. My point here is that if you think CNN and MSNBC are somehow "legitimate" and agenda-free, then you should lay off the Kool Aid and get out of that hot Guyana sun.

Does anyone disagree with that? If so, I'd love to hear the skewed rationale.

user-pic

By bad about Robert Byrd. I only WISH he was out of office instead of napping on the Senate floor.

user-pic

"Are you insinuating that Nancy Pelosi is somehow not an insidious shithead? I've yet to hear a convincing argument to the contrary."

What could possibly convince you of this? What a silly thing to have bloviated.

user-pic

Bovine excrement meter just exploded.

Yes we've gotten over it. But that doesn't mean that we can't have the opinion that MSNBC is equally as partisan as Fox. I don't know why most liberals think it's OK to bash Fox but MSNBC somehow can't be bashed by conservatives.

user-pic

No problem if you misplaced that link you needed to go to. It's www.redstate.com

user-pic

What's wrong? You only converse with people who share your views?

user-pic

Thanks much for jumping in, Sleeping J! Good to see your here, and thanks a bunch for the good commentary!

user-pic

From your comments, I can see that you've probably never been in a nuclear war! I'd like to see what happened if you pushed the button to drop a nuclear bomb and it was a dud and then your troops got infuriated and threw dripping wet spitballs in your hair, all icky and stuff!

YUCCHH!

If you wanna talk about MSNBC, write your own blog. I agree that CNN is the same as Fox, except that one of them is journalism and the other oneisn't. Not that I like CNN and not that I give one hoot about your opinion. Fox is not the opposition because they aren't news or a political party, only idiotic propaganda embraced by (1) uneducated people, (2) isolated misanthropes and misfits, and (3) genuine wackos like Cheney, which is actually just a subset of 2.

user-pic

Overreach This:

Well of course you don't give a hoot about my opinion. Most of the people at this blog don't give a hoot about opinions that are not in lockstep with their own. You truly do not even need to waste the words in saying that; I already assume it.

And, by the way, your opinion that, "Fox is not the opposition because they aren't news or a political party, only idiotic propaganda," is spoken almost as if you've been reciting the White House's talking points verbatim.

Overreach what?

user-pic

Well you're not insidious, but certainly a shithead. Maybe asinine too.

user-pic

Given the fact that your last blog indicated Barack Obama was President last fall, I don't see where your opinions hold much relevance or substance.

user-pic

Whew, *smoked* him you did! Thanks for the visit here!

user-pic

I join DD in commending LisB for the link that, if accurate, demonstrates that the WhiteHouse did NOT attempt to exclude Fox from the interview. It would have been childish and counterproductive to attempt that exclusion, and it is equally objectionable that Fox seems to be claiming it was excluded even though it wasn't. Perhaps there are other sources that contradict this information, but I'm hopeful it is correct.

At this point, I suspect that the Administration is perceiving it disadvantageous to be feuding with Fox, because it elevates Fox to a level of parity it doesn't deserve. Fox will probably continue to insist that there's an ongoing feud, but I don't think they will be able to keep it up for too long.

user-pic

Hey, OT, I don't want to offend you. It's just that I despise Fox and don't want to see them benefit from what appears to be a willingness of the Administraton to descend to their level.

Didn't McCain say something relevant in response to insulting comments from Mitt Romney during the Republican nomination battle - "Never get involved in a wrestling match with a pig. You both end up dirty, and the pig loves it."

user-pic

No offense taken, Doc.

The phony charge was that all the networks had rallied around Fox; if Fox was not going to be included for an interview, then they would not do the interview either. This would be an insult to journalists everywhere since putting Fox which is not news on the same level as real journalists is degrading and harmful to the debate. Also a cold slap at the White House which has rightly ignored the *poor* advice that it just play nice: "Son, always remember that silence gives consent," said Majority Whip Jim Clyburn's father. Legitimizing these parasites by marching to give interviews, etc., without putting it in context is crazy and self-destructive.

user-pic

Maybe this defense of FOX by the other networks will help to debunk this myth of the "Liberal Media" who are so in the tank for the president.

user-pic

The treatment of President Clinton should have debunked that; nothing will, because it never had anything to do with truth in the first place.
