LOL. I love it. I'll always remember the spring and early summer of 2009 as the time when the American right wing pulled out all the stops--with the unfortunate result that you could hear how that old pipe organ really sounded.

Golly, there are so many funny aspects to this, Aunt Sam!

French people are one of the very few groups bigots have been freed to hate; more visible minorities are now off limits. Bush/Cheney worked on fuelling this energetically, with their godamm Freedom Fries and all that inexecusable trash! It was like, "Hey bigots, stay away from Condi and Colin, here's YOUR role right here! Sick 'em!" And the bigots obliged with such gratitude!

WELL, GUESS WHAT?!! LOL! BARACK AND MICHELLE *LOVE* FRANCE! They were just there in April! And the French, who never understood the Bush-licensed antipathy, love them right back! (Meanwhile, the Arab street is totally *wowed* by what just happened, marvelling wide-eyed, even as their leaders try against the tide to say the U.S. still is problematic -- this bothers the more ignorants bigots especially, since they want to say all Muslims are bad as well!)

AND NOW, the bigots get to watch those adorable *African American* girls with their 10,000 watt smiles on TV take their first overseas trip as the *President's daughters!* TO FRANCE!!

Ooooh, it's going to be a long eight years for some people!! (I'm literally in hysterics as I write this, no lie!!) Thanks for your exuberance as well, Aunt Sam, glad we could share in this! :)
