Stop trying to silence Cheney!

For heaven's sake, it's the United States of America:  let the man tell his story!

Before twelve of his peers in a criminal court.   If given a chance to explain why his goons tortured their way through ludicrous Bush fables, he may be able to clear his "good" name!  It's the right thing to do, and who among us can truly say he wouldn't be entertained?  For example, it's now emerged that they tortured people to get them to say the ridiculous, fantasized connection between Saddam and Al Qaeda actually existed.  That's something a jury will want to know more about, and there may be perfectly logical explanations.  Cheney may kindly finger others, for example, and aver that Rumsfeld, Feith, and very probably Paul Wolfowitz were more behind this than he was.

Who reprimanded the torturers that they weren't torturing hard enough when they couldn't substantiate the Cheney folks' absurd delusions?  Not Condi Rice, right?  Was it Wolfowitz?  And Cheney wasn't even involved?  Not bloody likely, but he needs to be given a structured opportunity to tell tales, just like when he claimed Saddam and Al Qaeda met in Prague.  Only this time, he'll be sharply cross-examined, of course, but as long as he's innocent of war crimes, the snarling Veep's got nothing to worry about!
