McCain's poll numbers began to really tank when Katie Couric's interviews put his judgment and the country's future under the cancer-afflicted septugenerarian in grave doubt.  Only a careless, shallow, dangerously cynical politician picks the frightening incompetent Palin.  Both startlingly calculating, and stunningly miscalculating.

His repeat antics in "suspending" a campaign to attempt leadership on something he doesn't understand (while trying to weasel out of debating) was a jaw-dropper.  His failure to budge Obama showed he is not a leader.  In having to come crawling back to the podium he looked not Presidential but buffoonish.  They've lost 3 debates and their crazed and imbecilic supporters are raging that the Kenyan-American is an "Arab" -- a step or two off from a lynch mob.  BTW, similar hateful campaigning by Benjamin Netanyahu helped get Yitzhak Rabin killled in Izrael in 1995. Meanwhile, McCain has not shown what he supposedly has to offer, besides jingoism and an embellished POW story.

The voters have had it.  This guy is not Presidential material, and he scares them.  The economy doesn't help, sure, but I am sick of the mass media claiming it's his undoing.  "Perfect storm" my ass.
