The article below supposedly shows us what a great debater Palin is, especially when offered silly softball questions about whether the strident  pro-lifer opposes abortion, and snark-bate like whether she’d hire her debating opponents:

For Palin, that last query is like saying, “Sarah, being a naturally mean person as you are (and dumb), instead of taking time up answering a debate question, would you mind gratuitously insulting your two fellow candidates?  (She did a stellar job of it.)  If she asked that stuff, she'll shine.

In addition to being stupid, she’s telegenic, Reaganesque supposedly, vague, happy to criticize and taunt even the host to his/her face, sarcastic, sharp-tongued, simplifying, and super-confident.   Here’s a glimpse at what her Arizona handlers may be facing:  “Palin, the former aides said, had a sharply limited attention span for absorbing the facts and policy angles required for all-topics debate preparation. Staffers were rarely able to get her to sit for more than half an hour of background work at a time before her concentration waned, hindered by cellphone calls and family affairs. "We were always fighting for her attention," said one of the aides.”

Meanwhile, the Biden gaffes seem real, which I hadn’t necessarily accepted: http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2008/09/30/politics/washingtonpost/main4489307.shtml  I still  cannot believe that he’ll have real problems, though.  He should be ready-for-Freddie by debate time, and graciously letting her hang herself.

I read Steve Coll's excellent book, the Bin Ladens, and it is clear that Bin Laden, while being pious, haunted, and manipulative, is also a complete idiot.  Buffoons under his sway call him a professor but he never finished universirty, too wacked out and stupid, presumably.  And we know he's a big-mouth, utterly in love with the sound of his own voice.

Expect him to endorse the black guy, boldly deluding himself  that anybody somehow respects his inane opinions.  That should bring Lieberman (maybe also Cheney) out of the woodwork pretty quick, yammering "We told you so!," "country first!," etc.  Obama people need to be ready to answer this immediately and not wait for Sarah Palin to frame the debate for them.  They need to have a strategy ready to execute at this time.

Such as perhaps saying that all they want to hear from Bin Laden is that he surrender himself to authorities for this mass homicides and expect the death penalty.  Just as an idea, but up to them, they're real smart.  Point is to be ready immediately.
