MATTHEW 6:5-6

Not to give credence to those who would control us I believe most of the subjects of the Fellowship Foundation etc. are really seeking simply their like and kind.   Sure they can be manipulated but can we not?  Molly's post started me thinking about how we search and search for for that place where all is in agreement.  That could be why I am here.   But can we be manipulated or rather have we been manipulated into accepting each" in god we trust" or any other form of denomination specific ritual in order to assist some groups long range control of the populace?   (Way too wordy!)   I think we are all strangers searching but a few of us disregard the ranting demagogues and search for our own answers.   Could it be we have failed often enough ourselves to realize the flaws of others?   I only need to look in the mirror to know this truth.   I need only look through my past to see the potential for future mistakes.   This does not mean I am a cynic afraid of my own shadow, only that I will make wiser choices, I will learn, and I will have faith, if faith is the right word, in humanity to out grow this little religious tantrum; hopefully before we exterminate ourselves.

You know, I am sure those groups have un-spooled enough rope to hang themselves and with a little left over to do a bit of soft padded room wicker weaving, if you know what I mean.
