Dick Cheney Nearly Blew the British Bomber's Case

Great Britain, an ally of the United States in the War on Terror, managed to do a fair job of disrupting terrorist plots and bringing terrorists to justice without resorting to torture.  But the bumbling Vice President of the United States made their job more difficult, British Newspapers report.

As the house of cards that is the justification for torture begins to fall, where are the enablers?  They worked in broad daylight, calling out any nation which stood for restraint with trade sanctions, threatening to unhinge NATO.  But Great Britain stayed with the United States, and what thanks do they get.  We leave them in the awkward spot of explaining that they may not be able to take us at our word that we do not condone torture.

Is it any surprise that this crowd, now out of power, is trying to bully the rest of us again?

Someone should start punching the bully in the nose!

I recall this Srykur. I am glad its back in 'the cycle' again.

I do not wish to punch the bugger in nose. I wish to see him put in the dungeon where he belongs.

Good post. We need some British feeds here from time to time.

Thanks Dickday!

I do not want to punch Cheney. I think he needs a creampie in the face!

I am thinking more figuratively, that we must stand up forcefully to the bullies of August. At the same time, we have to keep a sense of humor. They are speaking out of fear, after all.
