Michelle Obama has made good on her vision for a kitchen garden at the White House.  In a video blog posted to the White House Website this week, the First Lady explains the role of the garden in her family life.  White House Chef Sam Kass also explains how the garden's produce is being incorporated into menus.  There is a really cool time lapse segment so you can watch the garden grow.

No word yet on whether agrochemical lobbyists are still shuddering over the prospect that the garden may not use pesticides. 

Unfortunately, paranoia is also rampant on the left side of the garden aisle.  Claims that the President is eating from a toxic garden may continue to re-emerge.
