Question for Obama Supporters

This has been eating at me for some time but I thought I would go ahead and ask. Why can't Barack seal the deal on this thing? He's been running with a margin since the first of the year and here we set middle of April and he hasn't really done much with the lead. I know most of you will say he has already won it but in reality we all know that he hasn't. He still needs help to get to the Nomination in the form of Supers. Why isn't the Front runner for the Nomination not able to win or at least lead polls in obvious Democratic strongholds like PA? Is it too much to expect that he would have despatched of Hillary by now or at least made it look silly for her  stay in?

Just a few questions.

Lieberman

This is a short one but hopefully I can get some information and discussion. I sort of get why he is going there......but can someone closer to CT give me a better idea? I guess we all know we have a common enemy now don't we? His name is Joe McLiberman. Benedict Arnold.

Zimbabwe

Just a request again this morning that while we have time before the PA primary that we concentrate on the impending problems in Zimbabwe and exhort our elected officials to demand the UN become involved.  The general strike today seems to have been squashed by the Mugabe Army today. I posted on this last evening as well but I wanted to have this in front of us. Your support for the people of Zimbabwe would be appreciated.

Zimbabwe

Folks, As we entertain ourselves till the PA Primary can we all take time to contact our Congressman and Senators about what is going on currently in Zimbabwe? This thing is seriously in danger of going out of control if it hasn't already. Mugabe has gotten the Army out in an effort to halt a general strike tomorrow. This on top of his refusal to verify election results in an attempt to allow him to keep his Dictatorship alive.

The crushing cost in lost lives and futures is too great not to act. IF we had a United Nations with any teeth we would have already removed Mr. Mugabe. Millions of Zimbaweans have pored over the borders into other countries. Add this to the refugees from the recent Kenyan ethnic conflicts and you have another impending disaster in Africa.

What hurts as much as anything is that this isn't the way it had to go. Zimbabwe had one of the greatest economies in Africa just after Apartheid was thrown over and the true Gov't of the people of the country was instituted. That promise was squandered away by Mugabe and is in stark contrast to what the ANC was able to accomplish in SA. The economy is in free fall with real inflation rates are rising at alarming rates. The worst is these rates do not hurt the white minority who have been able to create wealth in this fiasco as they have still all the business contacts and use the black market to pad their bank accounts. Foreign investors are picking up land there in deals that would make any honest investor blush.

I emplore each of us to take a minute and do some yelling to Congress about this situation so we can at least try to end this before there is real bloodshed.

Thanks
