Friends, Lovers, and Other Loved Ones
So, I've been hanging out here at the Cafe for over a year now, and I've made so many friends. I've also seen many go.
Some move on to other blogs they create. Some move on to other existing blogs. Some just disappear.
Getting back to friends that come in here, though, I just have to say that I've seen so many new creative voices lately, and it makes my heart sing.
I love anybody who has the guts to post in here for the first time and tell it like it is, not knowing if they will be accepted or not. Well, let me rephrase that slightly. I love their balls, LOL. Not to mention their fortitude if they last. And I don't always like EVERY new member here, either. Heh heh. You all know who you are.
Much as I like to title some of my posts with the words, "I AM IN LOVE WITH...." or "I HAVE A CRUSH ON..." I don't really feel that way. Love is a serious thing and hard to come by and hard to just fall into. I'm just impressed when a politician or reporter or opine-maker says what I feel. That's why I'm in love with Rachel Maddow. It's not that I have a girl crush on her (although, I sort of actually do). Jon Stewart, he's another one. I don't want to marry him (is he married already? I don't even know). I don't want his babies. I just love his brain and his balls.
Letterman sometimes, too. But we all know what happened to the woman who decided she REALLY, REALLY loved him. Poor Letterman got himself a stalker. I don't love THAT way.
But I love you all and your intelligent voices and your varying topics and the way your minds and hearts work. It is so nice to have a community like this. I hope we can keep it together.

Brawn is good....it's fun to hold onto, speaking as a woman. But when the brawn is all tired and thoughtful, it's good to have someone to talk to, no?
I'm pondering love like crazy lately. I am falling into it and trying to be really careful.
Heh, as if there is such as a thing as falling carefully into love.

I was just in such a hole for such a long time. And now I wake up and have something to look forward to.
I have the entire web. I looked at one of the moons of Mars this week--not round you know. Saw a two thousand year old toy dug up by Stonehenge.
But I look forward most to seeing what has been published at TPM last nite. What comments were made on older blogs. How is Miguel doing in Mexico. And my favorite girl friends, Bwak and LisB and Dija and others. Is Q or KGB crazy today? What new blog has TheraP found?
My friend Mark showed up to and gave a short report on his campaign. And promised a blog on it.
It was 53 today and sunny and much puddling but you could get around. Spring was a little early (blesses himself and crosses his fingers).
I like waking up for a change.

...shhh, don't tell anyone....
....I went into my bathroom one night, the one with the yellowish kinda lights above the medicine-cabinet-mirror, and I smiled and looked up and to the side and took my picture with a leetle canon digital camera.
It was that easy. But I'm glad you like. It worked wonders at e-Harmony, facebook, MySpace and here too! LOL....
I am so un-photogenic it isn't funny, so don't let my avatar fool you. I got lucky with the camera and lighting, is all.
May I keep getting lucky, eh? Oh wait. I already did. Never mind!

Using the word love can be applied on many different levels. It can be used as an expression of fondness, like: "I love chocolate cake." Or you can use it to express a very deep feeling for another.
Hate, on the other hand, is what it is.. Go figure..
