Kissing Ass and Being Thankful

Thank you, Josh, et. al. for this place.  I've met so many friends here.

Thank you, Josh, et. al., for the things that I've learned here.  About energy, government, points of view....and people too.

Thank you, Josh, et. al., for letting us have a voice here.  We argue, sure, but we learn from one another even more.  And for that....I'm thankful.

Thanks Josh for providing the best, most responsible source of news and original investigative reporting around.

I find this format the most useful. We get to reply directly beneath posts and can post easily ourselves. nice work. Count me as grateful too! :-{)>

OK, so whose ass are you kissing? Josh's? But why?

By the title I was hoping you'd be telling us about going home to see the fam for Thanksgiving, and since we have similar circumstances we could compare notes...Was it as bad as you thought it would be?

I went home a week before Thanksgiving, and I had a wonderful time. My family was no longer fighting with me over politics. Instead, my sister and even my mother said that Obama is our next President (much as they wanted it otherwise) and he therefore deserves their respect and prayers.

My mother did warn me that she's going to watch him closely, just as I would if McCain had won instead, and she's not sure she agrees with everything so far.

I can live with that.
