Week of March 2, 2008 - March 8, 2008

How did Hillary put it?

She said, "No matter how this turns out....we'll all be fine."

I'd like to hear her say that in August, when she takes her stolen nomination from the disappointed citizens of America.

I'd like to hear her say that she borrowed that phrase from a man who raised his voice on behalf of the people like me.

I'd like Hillary to stand up and talk about my 20-year-old nephew in Iraq who wants to come home in two years and marry his girlfriend Jordyn.

I'd like Hillary to stand up and talk about her's and Bill's tax returns since 2002 that haven't been disclosed.

I'd like Hillary to do a lot of things that she's not willing to do.

And Hillary would like me to do a lot of things that I'm not willing to do.

Like, um....vote for her.

Three Words

Three little words.

I asked my boyfriend, tonight, for three words.

I said to him, "Honey...."

And he said, "Yeah?"

I then asked him, "Honey?"

And he said, "Yeah?"

I then said to him, "Honey?  If you could describe all three remaining presidential candidates, with one word each, what would those three words be?".

And he said, "Hmmm.".

And he thought it out.

And then he said, "Okay, I'm ready."

And then he said:

Clinton:  Unworthy
Obama:  Vision
McCain:  Past

A few hours later, I'm trying to come up with my own three words.

This Year

Look at the issues, this year.

Listen to the rhetoric, this year.

Smell the politics of same-old, status quo, this year.

Taste the bitter taste of the usual acrimony, this year.

Touch the tired soul within yourself, and ask it:

Can I make something change, this year?
