Senator Stevens was one of the Nine Reprehensible Republican Senators who voted against McCain's Anti-Torture Amendment to the FY 2006 Defense Authorization Bill. For that reason alone, he has proven himself unfit to be a United States Senator. Another on the Nine retired this year, Wayne Allard.
