Heh...
"What planet are you from?" - Barney Frank
I love the looks on the faces of conservatives when they try to 'blame' Obama for giving away taxpayers money and I remind them that the 'giveaway' to large corporations was initiated by Bush and Paulson. One said to me "Really? I hadn't heard that." to wit I replied "Yeah, you can even look it up on the internet if you want to". Or that Justice Sotomayor isn't going to take away their guns since she is replacing someone on The Court who had the same view as her on the issue.
Sometimes conservatives make me want to ask that very good question that came to Mr. Frank's mind.

Yes it was Paulson that gave the banks everything, but I believe Barney's quote is "on what planet do you spend most of your time?"
I want to ask conservatives that all the time too.

LOL...I seem to have a problem with quotes at times, especially when I try to cite them from memory. ;-)

Me? I liked round two: "...like talking to a dinning room table." Ok, ok, the planet quip was good. Heh.

Hehehe...the dining room table line was good too.
Most of my conservative friends, and a business partner, don't like talking politics with me anymore...I just destroy their arguments in a way that is ridiculing. They can't seem to emotionally accept that their precious conservative ideology has lead us to this fubar place we are at now and Obama and the D's deserve very little of the blame. Then, at that point, the topic gets changed to baseball or music. ;-)

In ancient times I read an article by Norman Mailer, a critique "Playboy." He wrote that Playboy asked its readers to live their lives in the third person - very much like the rules of gentlemanly conduct in the days of Machiavelli.
I think Republicans have this problem. Look at the "winner/loser" polarity conservatives seem to apply to the world. Hence, almost every conservative I know disclaims being a Republican after the great fleecing. "I'm an Independent." Better than being cast as a loser.
