Please stop using the word "fib" in headlines!

This is a small point, but I don't understand why Josh and Greg are using the word "fib", especially in the headlines of their posts, to refer to McCain's lies.  It undermines their basic point that what McCain is doing goes way beyond the normal spinning, exaggerating, understating, embellishing, etc., that virtually all politicians frequently engage in.   Thus, we have John McCain flat out lying to the American people (I half expect McCain to start running ads saying that Barack Obama voted with George Bush more than 90 percent of the time.  It would be a devastating ad and actually happens to be true, since McCain was a POW and also opposed the GOP leadership a few times seven years ago.) and our guys are calling it by a term most commonly used by seven year olds.

Look, don't get me wrong.  I'm a long time reader of this site and a huge fan of Josh Marshall's.  Josh and his team do  more in a day to help Obama get elected than I'll do all year (I've helped organize about a dozen low to mid-level fundraisers and maxed out myself, for whatever that's worth).  But, guys, please stop using the word "fib".  It makes you sound like you're the politically incorrect term that was one used to refer to people with special needs (my gym teachers never really did accept all that ADHD excuse mumbo jumbo that they heard from my doctor and parents, figuring it was all a big fib).  It also makes you sound weak, like you're afraid that lie is too strong a word to use.  Do you think they'd ever say "fib" over at Redstate?  All three of their readers would go ballistic!
