hamas teaches children to hate using Mickey Mouse image

In it's latest bulletin, Palestinian Media Watch reports that hamas television using a Mickey Mouse lookalike, is teaching children to hate and kill Americans and Israelis. These are the child-abusing, mass murderering barbarians who the world expects Israel to negotiate and make a peace treaty with, not to mention relinquish more territory to. I'd like to know how all those apologists for palestinian terror who demand Israel make concessions, can explain why a culture which has no regard for the lives of its own children will ever live in peace with Jews, or anyone else for that matter?

As usual, your position appears to be that the Palestinians will never make peace, leading to the logical conclusion that the only solution you see is to kill them all.

Odd that Palestinian Media Watch thinks that there's something illegitimate about referring to Zionist occupation as "Zionist occupation."

The site you linked to is highly biased, LEL. The primary objection listed to many of the Palestinian news articles is that the Israelis are called "murderers." Yet, according to the wikipedia article on the topic (which offers fairly conservative figures), from late 2000 through early 2006 there were 4209 Palestinians killed by Israel, a rate four times higher than the number of Israelis killed by Palestinians. 892 of the Palestinians who were killed by Israel were children.

In the same period, there were 249,680.9 dunams of Palestinian land confiscated by Israel (this is illegal under international law), 1,187,762 Palestinian trees estimated to be uprooted by Israel (the cultivation of olive trees provides a means of livelihood for many Palestinians), and 7768 home demolitions by Israel.

Can you not understand the reasons for the intense hatred of Israel, LEL?

Ironically, it was Israel who fostered the ascendancy of the Islamists, specifically Hamas, in the Palestinian territories in the first place, seeing them as potentially weakening Fatah. Fatah always has been one of the most secular organizations in the Arab world. Hamas didn't even exist until 1987. Also from a wikipedia article:

Before 1987 — Palestinian Islamic activities prior to the creation of Hamas

Sheikh Ahmed Yassin returned to Gaza from Cairo in the 1970s, where he set up Islamic charities, founding Hamas in 1987 as an offshoot of Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood. According to the Israeli weekly Koteret Rashit (October 1987), "The Islamic associations as well as the [Islamic university — founded in 1978 in Gaza] had been supported and encouraged by the Israeli military authority" in charge of the (civilian) administration of the West Bank and Gaza. "They [the Islamic associations and the university] were authorized to receive money payments from abroad." By the end of 1992, there were 600 mosques in Gaza. Hamas attracted members through preaching and charitable work before spreading its influence into trade unions, universities, bazaars, professional organizations and local government political races beginning in December 2004. “Thanks to Israel’s intelligence agency Mossad (Israel’s Institute for Intelligence and Special Tasks), the Islamists were allowed to reinforce their presence in the occupied territories. Meanwhile, the members of Fatah (Movement for the National Liberation of Palestine) and the Palestinian Left were subjected to the most brutal form of repression”, according to L'Humanité.[54] Indeed Israel supported and encouraged Hamas' early growth in an effort to undermine the secular Fatah movement of Yasser Arafat.[55] According to UPI, Israel supported Hamas starting in the late 1970s as a "counterbalance to the Palestine Liberation Organization".[52] At that time, Hamas's focus was on "religious and social work". The grassroots movement concentrated on social issues such as exposing corruption, administration of waqf (trusts) and organizing community projects.

It seems to me that the saying, "be careful what you wish for" has no better application than this. Until Israel (and by extension the U.S. supporters of Israel and U.S. foreign policy) recognizes just how much of the current problems it has brought on itself, there will be no peace.

You don't have to like Hamas to think that this post is a sham. Palestine Media Watch? Why don't you also trot over to CAMERA, MEMRI, Frontpagemagazine & Little Green Footballs while you're at it & indoctrinate us using their propaganda from that hate-Arabs crowd.

I'm not a big fan of Hamas. But this is a "put up" job. Take a look at this member's posts. I don't mind people who support Israel (I do myself). But if you've got to do so at the expense of Arabs while making them out to be fiends & villains, then what are you doing here? Wouldn't you be more comfortable at LGF? That is, unless you're here to preach to the heathen so that they might "see the light."

Unbelievable, but I can't say I'm surprised. Is there any amount of depravity on the part of the arabs that will cause you people to condemn them?

The PA itself acknowledged the program did just what memri reported:
http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/pages/ShArt.jhtml?itemNo=857709&contrassID=1&subContrassID=1

Excerpt:

A program using a Mickey Mouse-like character to urge Palestinian children to fight Israel and the West and work for world Islamic domination has been pulled off Hamas' television station for review, the Palestinian information minister said Wednesday.

Mustafa Barghouti said the use of the cartoon character in such a role represented a mistaken approach to the Palestinian struggle against Israeli occupation.

Barghouti said that following a request from his ministry, the program was pulled from the Hamas-affiliated Al-Aqsa TV and placed under review.

"I demanded that Hamas suspend the program and they have withdrawn it, because it was wrong to use a program directed at children to convey political messages," he said

OK, LEL, if you demonstrate your ability to criticize anything Israeli I'll condemn something Palestinian. Deal?
