Not only is Iran waging a proxy war against Israel, but its revolutionary guards soldiers are actively engaged in firing rockets into Israel, according to Jordanian officials.  Also, the Syrian army is providing intelligence information on Israeli targets. Given these facts, it would be more than reasonable and even necessary for Israel to take the war into both Iran and Syria.
