I'm not sure who I'm more disgusted with - I expect the wingnut noise machine to fire up the ignorant, but the MSM is enjoying this way too much.

It is my contention that these ads are harmful just like cigs and booze. They work at getting gullible people to believe that there is a magic pill to take care of everything from hayfever to limp penis sydrome. And they are so obnoxious and insiduous, that pretty soon they'll be causing strokes.

As a side note - at the end of every ad, when they go through the whole list of possible side effects, I always add, out loud, "and bleeding from the ass."

I will go to the 1payer website, I will give $ and I will call my reps... I wish I could go to DC too, but I'll be there in spirit.

And I want to hear the Lump, the Newt, and Republican lawmakers apologize to Janet Napaletano.

Somehow or another, somewhere some Democrat will end up apologizing for saying something about the right wing extremeists after this tragedy.

And I am so sick our so-called "liberal" media that I could just spit. Why are they even covering whatever that crazy old bag of shit says?

What if a good citizen followed him around and then made a citizen's arrest?

That said, I'll add my 2 cents and admit that it's a very immature reaction to this whole Warren mess. For the first time in my adult life I actually considered going to the inauguration. I can't remember when I was this happy and this proud that the candidate I supported and worked for won. I wanted to be part of the celebration. I really have felt all along that I was part of this campain, that this win was "my" win, too.

I understand Obama's reasoning in wanting to be inclusive, but damn it, he'll have 4 (or8) years to do that. Why the inauguration? Why the invocation? Why someone who is so opposed to everything progressives stand for in such a prominent position? I'm not a Christian and I've had more than enough of right wing Evangelical fundamentalists being center stage. I am not gay, but Rev. Warren's pronouncements on homosexuality are offensive to me.

I know this is immature, and I know I will eventually get over it, but the way I feel right now is that the biggest, happiest, party to celebrate the greatest political event of my lifetime has just been crashed by a big, prejudiced, homophobic boor.

I live in a VERY small, rural town (pop. 1,400) where everybody knows everybody. We still put our paper ballots in a wooden box with a padlock. Lochlan came into the booth with me, we read the ballot together, and when I checked off Obama's name, I told her, "This is history. You'll remember this your whole life."

In the evening I kept switching back and forth between MSNBC, NBC, and the Daily Show. I just happened to be on Jon and Stephen when Jon Stewart looked straight at the camera and said, "At 11:00 pm Eastern time the president of the United States is Barack Obama." It caught me completely by surprise because I had just been laughing at something Colbert said. I burst into tears.

I stayed up to watch Obama's speech and cried through the whole thing. God what a great day!
