Obama's backpedaling begins
Check this out:
John Podesta, co-chairman of Obama's transition team, told reporters... "We are announcing rules that are the strictest, the most far-reaching ethics rules of any transition team in history."
This has the unmistakeable pungent stench of beltway bullshit... Weaselwords from a Clinton-era master of the genre. Which campaign promise will Obama weasel out of next?

Well sometime reality trumps ideology. It would be impossible to hire folks who knew what they were doing, how things worked who probably were not a lobbyist at some point.
The stringent rules give me a bit of hope.

You can't throw a styrofoam peanut in Washington without hitting a lobbyist. Who did you think he was going to hire? Us?

Wow. Have you ever killed any of your friends for giving you a funny look?

Uhhhmm, excuse me? I'm not sure about your position. If I understand you correctly however, Podesta claims that this new administration will embrace very strong ethics rules. You believe that his statement is a lie, and argue therefore that "Obama's backpedaling begins."
Yer weird. Entertainingly paranoiac, but weird.

I'd say Obama breaks his promise to give college students $4,000 in exchange for 100 hours of community service.
