I gotta say looking at the mostly male crowd with a significant number of ahh scruffy looking people, was there a GOP budget to 'recruit' folks from the streets to join the ranks?

For years the wealthy and big companies have been able to contribute at will and back candidates but now, when the average voter has decided to make their voices heard, suddenly McCain feels that's bad and has to be stopped? He finds it unacceptable that millions of "Joe the plumbers" have decided to become involved and he wants to enact legislation to prevent average people from having any influence?

Really?

Well now we know where McCain feels the balance of power in this country SHOULD be and it isn't with "Joe the plumber".
