Imagine a "heaven" wherein you get to spend eternity with people who would deny such families their own respect and honor and appreciation and even their own humanity.
In that circumstance, I would feel compelled to check out hell as perhaps the preferred option.
I wish people could learn to live and let live. Too many people want to tell others how to live their lives.
Families
Being the key word.
Two humans cooperating in *raising a child is family values.
Two humans supporting and having each others' backs, and maybe guaranteeing that no more than one of them dies alone, is family values.
(Of course, if these two humans are married, whether straight or gay, they have quit having sex years ago, which ought to make the Baby Jesus cry...)
What kind of cramped and withered Yahwist would defend interference with the vindication of these values?
*All adults of the species are responsible for the well being of all young of the species...
I too feel heartbroken that people who love another are prevented from a public celebration of that love, with all the benefits and rights that that public, and legal, celebration confers.
Several comments from the video stood out for me. The "anti" person talks about how things are "settled" and "people are comfortable" with things as they are. No awareness, no comprehension whatsoever of how gay people are disenfranchised! And unsettled.
Another thing that stood out. The rights of children.
Why should some children be denied having parents who are married? That's a key part of this!
Why should some children be denied having parents who are married?
It's not like they don't notice...

"Daddy, do you and ___________love each other?
"Yes, we do"
"Then how come you're not married?"
