I was pleasently surprised, how collected and somber Jon Stewart remained.

Thanks, in less measure, because of viral blogging online, this interview will attain the status of American classic.

Isn't it interesting, last few great journalistic ventures came from SNL, Letterman and Stewart. Apart from Couric/Palin interview, nothing in "serious" news made any real positive impact in almost a decade.

I think all pro-choice democrats are pro-life . So, I'd call the other group anti-choice and not pro-life. Anyways, you know what I mean.

With Steele however, I'm not sure if he's pro-choice. I don't think he believes is anything, I don't think he's has hard set of values.

If Rush tells him, he will kill puppies, convert White and become anti-choice.

I don't think this will lead to any dramatic restrucring of the political landscape. What will change the landscape is the success or failure of the Obama administration. The story I don't think the story in itself has enough legs to change the political landscape.

BTW I don't think it will dramatically help GOP either, it just to much waste of ink in the long run.

The story as no legs to reshape the political landscape.

I think the plot here to showcase Republucans in congress ad Limbaugh Hacks while they obstruct the budget proceedings.

No big deal. Much of the country doesn't really care. Its just a sideshow, for political diehards.

I agree to the larger point, though- we cannot get involved in Limbaugh business every day.

Its all comparitive. What did Rush do when the Gov. Sanford called him a idiot? He just ignored a very popular Governor from SC and lived on.

Michael Steel wouldn't get a smile, let alone support, from a dog lining the gates of GOP. He had zero support, none. He is like a weak and easy target powerless- so no Surprise Rush takes a shot at him and @$$ dies voluntarily.

I'd say it will take years to "un-Bush" and I don't know how Steele looks like a more responsible "adult." If anything he looks like an @$$. He just conceded Rush and not him is the Defacto leader. He anointed Rush as the leader. Anyway, that's what I think.

If I may I don't think this is a seismic shift either way. This is sadly not the end of the GOP neither it is, as you suggest, renewal of the party with a new strategy.

It's entertaining to watch from the sidelines for a couple of weeks. I think RL doesn't want the "uppity" black guy tell him he's just an entertainer.

If anything RNC fundraising will get hit for a while, until Steele is someway kisses and makes up with the Fatso.

Not the mention he kept hollering in the first hour coverage on the election night: "Why haven't he flipped a red state, he can't flip a red state, all red states are still red states." This when even it was too early for early returns.

I wanted to strangle him at one point. And ofcourse he cringed and wilted like a dying flower once OH flipped, and irony he was on the screen forced to break the news.

He's a jackass. Tool. Disgrace. Almost every time he moves his mouth he's kissing Rove's ass.
