Finally! Last Debate!
I cannot possibly be the only person that is glad this is the last of the debates. Not that I'm sick of the debates, no, not at all. I keep hoping to hear something new. To hear either cadidate actually ANSWER a question with honesty, rather than their stump speeches. Is that too much to ask for? So, I'm glad it's the last one so that I don't have to have my hopes dashed, again, after tonight. Well, ok, there is the actual election. ;)
I want to hear something new tonight. They both need to realize that this is it. This is their last chance to swing those undecided voters their way. Though I can't believe there are any TRUE undecided voters at this point. If they are truly undecided, then they haven't been doing their homework and investigating the candidates. That's what Factcheck.org, and a ton of other websites, is for. I've gotten more information from websites than I have from listening to the speeches these two cadidates have given. That is one thing that helped me decide who to vote for. Plus, I've read and watched everything I possibly can on both candidates. The good, the bad, the ugly.
As for the ugly, I've read more of that about McCain than I have Obama. I don't know if that's because it's been more readily available and more prolific, or if it's because I was leaning towards Obama from the beginning. I fully admit I'm registered Democrat, but I have, in past elections, voted for other party candidates, because I've felt they were better. However, I never voted for Bush. Either of them. Though I did vote for Reagan. Speaking of which, Nancy Reagan was just hospitalized with a broken pelvis. At her age and frailty, that's not good. My prayers are with her.
Ok. Back to tonights debate. I will be completely surprised if McCain actually brings up Ayers tonight. I think he knows, deep down, that it isn't relevant. He knows he's making up that connection. Yes, they served together on the Annenberg foundation. So did a lot of Republicans, including Mrs. Annenberg, who just donated to McCains campaign, so, using the logic McCain is using, he's palling around with terrorists as well. *Sigh* I'm so sick of all of this made up crap that goes on in these campaigns. Yes, I understand that both sides will stretch the truth in regards to the others stances on the issues, but to make up lies in regards to a candidates character is utter bullshit. No matter who the lie is about. It's flat out wrong, and WE THE PEOPLE need to stand up and say NO to this crap. WE are the ones that elect these politicians, so if it all goes wrong, it is up to US to correct it and not put up with the bullshit anymore! WE need to get through these politicians heads that WE are fed up and WE want and deserve better. FROM BOTH SIDES OF THE "AISLE".
You would think McCain would remember how he felt when the Bush campaign came out with the crap they did about his adopted daughter. That was truly disgusting. I guess McCain is thinking this is his last chance, and to hell with his honor and dignity? I dunno. I guess it's for "history" to decide.
More after the debate. I'm sure MUCH more! HA!
