If Harry Reid has a mindset anything like mine re: Lieberman, his decision should be easy -- all he has to do is call up the mental image of this schmuck standing behind McCain at so many campaign stops, grinning like an elderly Howdy Doody.

No kidding! I really hope SNL runs that Masked Avenger telephone call to Palin once every SNL show until the end of Palin's term as Alaska governor. Something's gotta make up for Tina Fey's "early retirement" from the role.

How recently did Michele Bachmann graduate from her ESL class?

Or is she implying she's developmentally disabled, and should be categorized with Sarah Palin's newfound interest (6 months) in "special needs" folks?

No doubt she's going to revive that "Rouge Cou" boutique, and make a few bucks on the side redecorating all of Washington D.C....

Josh Marshall in Talking Points Memo wrote yesterday:

"Remember the US Attorneys" about the firing scandal after the 2004 elections. Seems Republican partisans were claiming voter fraud. At first glance, though, their allegations were actually suggestive of voter registration fraud.

However, when the local US Attorneys were directed to look into the situation by the political office at the now-Republican White House, they found nothing of substance. Some allegations weren't even true, and those that were, were isolated "and not done with malice".

Those local US Attorneys were fired, evidently for not satisfying the Republican partisan complainants.

Read the story at TalkingPointsMemo.com
