But Joe the Plubmer isn't who he says he is. Specifically, he isn't a licensed plumber, isn't an undecided voter, doesn't make more than $250,000 a year, and has a lien against him for unpaid taxes. Moreover, he would fare better under Obama's tax plan than McCain's. The claim that he plans to buy his employer's business, while not entirely implausible, has the ring of the fast food places that tell you in the first interview how you could easily become a manager.

If this guy were who he says he is, that would be different. But the fact is, he's a phony who works in an illegal business without the proper permits and doesn't pay his taxes anyway, but uses this trumped-up fake identity to push a right-wing agenda.

Joe is a racist Republican operative with ties to the Keating family. Sure, Obama shouldn't target him. But anyone who believes in fairness and honesty in campaigning should.

Does anyone have video from Joe asking Obama the question at the appearance previous to the debate? Thomm Hartmann on air america said it was really good. I haven't seen it though. Have you?
