Anti-McCain Ad: Suffering Torture Doesn't Make You a Hero

An attack ad you're not likely to see the Democrats run against John McCain.  But perhaps they should...

[over still photos of Abu Grahib, prisoners of war being waterboarded]

Voice #1: I'm an American veteran who was ordered by my commanders to torture suspected terrorists. John McCain had a chance to make water boarding illegal, but he backed down.

Voice #2: I'm a Vietnam veteran who served my country proudly. Some call me a hero because I was tortured by the Viet Cong. But suffering torture didn't make me a hero.

[unflattering face of John McCain, smiling smugly and conceitedly]

Voice #3: It takes a hero to consistently say that America is a better country than one that tortures. As a US Senator, John McCain has failed to consistently oppose the prohibition of the torture called water boarding.

Call John McCain. Tell him you expect better out of a true American hero.
