California Dems Demand Do-Over

Field Poll

A new poll of California voters appears to undercut Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's argument that she is the stronger presidential candidate in big states, showing that her long-standing support in the nation's most populous state has eroded among Democrats - and even women.

The latest Field Poll shows that Illinois Sen. Barack Obama - who lost the Feb. 5 California primary to Clinton by nine points - is now preferred as the party nominee by a landslide 51 to 38 percent among the state's Democrats, according to a poll of 914 likely party voters taken May 16-27. ...

Obama and Clinton each beat McCain by 17 points in the state.

Where Would We B Jack Cafferty?

Great to see Jack Cafferty on CNN call Mrs. Clinton on her tall "electability" tales. As Marc Blumenthal notes, the polls show O! is superior if
anything

But Cafferty and the vast MSN conspiracy have totally ignored another important development

So where smart asses where would the Balkans be NOW if Mrs. Bill hadn't led that squadron of Navy SEALS into Tuzla?

McClellan Bombshell: It Started with the Clintons

First we rid ourselves of the Clintons
In November, we take care of the Bushes

AP: Exposing Washington's spinning permanent campaign

In a White House full of Bush loyalists, none was more loyal
than Scott McClellan, the bland press secretary who spread the company
line for all the government to follow each day. His word, it turns out,
was worthless, his confessional memoir a glimpse into Washington's
world of spin and even outright deception.

Governing via endless campaigning is not a new phenomenon, but
it accelerated markedly during the tumultuous Clinton White House and
then the war-shaken years of the Bush administration.

Drivin that train, high on cocaine....

"'The media won't let go of these ridiculous cocaine rumors,' I
heard Bush say. 'You know, the truth is I honestly don't remember
whether I tried it or not. We had some pretty wild parties back in the
day, and I just don't remember.'

"I remember thinking to myself, How can that be? How can someone
simply not remember whether or not they used an illegal substance like
cocaine? It didn't make a lot of sense."

Lowering the Boom on June 4

I just received a response from the campaign to an SFObama listserv email inquiring
about the status of contributions to the joint Campaign/DNC committee
that has been established.

"Wait until June 4th. Funds can only be used to support the presumptive nominee. Will send you forms"

Then this news item:

Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter said on Sunday he expects
Democratic superdelegates to reveal their choice for presidential
nominee soon after the final primary in June and that Hillary Clinton
will then have to quit the race.

In an interview with Sky News, Carter said he did not think Clinton was achieving anything by staying in the fight.

"I think not. But of course she has the perfect right to do so," he said while attending a literary festival in Britain.

"I'm a superdelegate ... I think a lot of the superdelegates will
make a decision quite, announced quite rapidly, after the final primary
on June 3," he told Sky News.

"I have not yet announced publicly, but I think at that point it will be time for her to give it up," Carter said.
