Maddow helped Buchanan Hang Himself

If you have not yet watched the clip of Rachel Maddow's masterful interview/debate with Pat Buchanan last night it really is a must that you view it.  Rachel did an amazing job of asking very specific questions in such a way as to help Pat say what he really wants to scream from the rooftops but typically holds back (a little) when on MSNBC verses his columns and books.

I doubt it will change anything, but I do hope that MSNBC can finally decide that enough is enough and politely ask Pat to retire.  They can do it quietly and they don't have to make a public event out of it; but his views don't have a place on such a platform unless the company believes in those views.  He has every right to say what he believes of course but free speech only protects us from our Government; not from our employer finally saying enough is enough Pat and showing him the door.

I wrote to Maddow after the show and told her I won't be watching any more segments of Pat Buchanan on MSNBC. I watch online so I can usually know ahead of time which segments he might be in. I had tried to find a way to write to the station earlier to say this but couldn't find a way. So after seeing that segment on Rachel's show, I had a reason to direct it to her. How is it Imus got so much heat and Pat Buchanan blatantly and repeatedly expressing his bigotry get none, zero, zip, nada???

Time to put Pat out to pasture. As Rachel says, he has dated himself, pre-colonial and the media is irresponsible to give him airtime.

His voice got so hysterically high-pitched, he was almost shrieking! I loved his comment that started with "Your people..."
I do fault maddow for spending sooo much time on the republican sex scandals; they are only noteworthy as to the politician's sactimoniousness on family values. I emailed her avout her neglecting to mention hilary clinton's membership in "the family" she is covering ad nauseum.

Yes. I wrote to her the first night she commented on 'The Family' that Hillary's participation was one reason I would not vote for her. But I am okay with her coverage to the extent she is using it as an excuse to talk about 'The Family' because I wish that orgnanization and 'all' who are in it was exposed completely.

Actually, I prefer to see Pat on TV, (preferrably on FOX), because he is willing to say what so many of the Jeff Session and John Cornyn's of the world think. I just wish MSNBC would stop pretending he is not the racist he really is!

As much as I hold him in serious contempt and choke with furious anger at his wrong minded expressions of self righteous bigotry--I have mixed feelings about putting him out to pasture.

He reminds otherwise rational and balanced minds that venomous rascist bastards are still out there lurking, and he gives their views a pretty throrough airing--and the other hand, his ideas are so poisonous I feel I need to douse myself with acetone after listening to him.

It like the debate about whether or not to destroy the smallpox lab samples. Do we keep them around for study, or incinerate them because they are such a threat? Hard to judge.

What's wrong with having Pat Buchanan on? He is a classic example of the diversity the MSN claims to present to us. Unless they continue to have unintelligent, sociopathic, bigoted racists like Pat represented, the coverage is just not fair -- right? If they don't, who will provide balance, SO DESPERATELY NEEDED for those who are intelligent, normal, thoughtful people who get interviewed?

Isn't that what balance is all about?

Lies vs Truth
Smart vs Stupid
Bigot vs ?Normal?

Balance, or idiocy? You decide.

Please leave Pat alone. His opinion's are honest and to the point. Besides, he always brings marshmallow's to the cross burnings.
