Are the Republicans really the redneck party?

The Republiclans like to pride themselves on being the party that best represents the values of rural America when it comes to owning guns, bashing gays, and owning a pickup truck. This third value appears to be in jeopardy if the auto bail bill does not pass. The Republicans in the senate have blocked attempts to save the American industry and making the future production of big Ford pickup trucks possible. If the rednecks lose the tradtion of owning Ford F-150 pick ups they will only have one party to blame.

Living where I do, near the Oklahoma and Texas border, I am a redneck expert. Things are going to have to get a lot worse than they are now before they start looking at the world differently. But there are surprises. The biggest redneck I know (every Monday at work, I ask him what he did over the weekend - the answer is always the same, "Cleaned my guns and drank some coldbeer!") voted for Obama. He said that the country just seemed to run better under Clinton and he wanted a Democrat back in. Shocked the hell outta me.

Republicans aren't the redneck party. They are the party of the group of persons they can easiest fool into voting for them. But mostly they are the dumbass party.

The GOP seems to consist of the dumbest people of American society. Tey have the intellect of a plankton. And that is an insult to the plankton! They are, to me, racistst bigots whose ideas of race relations between blacks and whites existed during the days of slavery. They are poor people who like to kill defensless animals, would register a AK 47 to every newborn if they could, and think Patriotism is torturing people for information. Ooh, and lets not forget the ones who sought Joe the Plumber out for advice
