The terrible legacy of 1994

The very negative campaigning by McCain and the financial crisis have one thing in common in that they are the terrible legacy of the Republican Revolution of 1994. The constant demonizing of Obama and dividing who is a "real American," and who is not started with the toxic influence of talk radio on the American political system in 1994. The hyped up fear of socialism, being used by McCain, was used successfully to defeat universal health care coverage in congress. The radical Republican fresman class of 1994 got elected through exploiting the worst fears and prejudices of the American people. The financial crisis was result of the deregulation  was intiated by the Republican congress that achieved its majority status in 1994. Just like they had no morals and standards in winning the election of 1994, the Republicans thought that the markets should have no constraints either, and as a result banks were able to cheat the system which then led to the financial crisis that we are now in. I hoped that an Obama victory in 2008 can finally erase the Republican revolution.

Equal opportunity haters

It appears to me that the Republicans seem to be equal opportuinity haters in that they hate everyone who does don't live in a small town. Colim Powell stated that he chose Obama because the Republicans view Muslim-Americans as being un-American, but the Republicans believe that perhaps a majority of the country is un-American. Sarah Palin stated that only those in small town America are true Americans while the McCain people think that Northern Virginia is not the real Virginia or as Joe McCain believes that it is somhow Communist. So do the McCains think that Jim Webb, a Vietnam veteran, and who has a strong family connection to Virginia, is a fake Virginian, not American, and a Communist. Republicans are in sense color blind because they hate everybody regardless of skin tone. For a party that states its love of the country how come it intensely dislikes most Americans. I find that the Republicans attitude towards their fellow countrymen to be  anti-American.
