Evil Axis of Pelosi
Speaker Pelosi didn't torture. She didn't hire her buddies to go build special barracks with electrocution showers to kill US soldiers. She didn't make any IEDs, and she didn't make any decisions that resulted in bare-skin Hummers, insufficient body armor, pathetically insincere troop levels.
Others have eloquently argued against the current clusterF currently occupying a miraculous near-half of the United States' legislature, and the notion that the opposition party could be complicit in nearly a decade of Republican misbehavior- even human rights abuses under orders from the Republican Party, which won't protect you from the government unless you have a market cap. I want to highlight it and amplify the bad-words parts. The ones where we look at each other and ask whether the 'assholes apparently speaking a grouchier and less textured English are high right now' or whether they're auditioning for something. In my auditions, I use the Evil One's monologue from Time Bandits, and without context it's pretty silly.
King, especially, is a pud. A really lame one. That's an aside and a personal slight, but King was one of the Members. The guys running the show from ~1994 to about 2006 when the RNC majority was cut enough to give air to the 'opposition'. You may know them as 'the Republicans'.
I hope you people currently following these dipshits, dough boys and drug addict/ambling addict serial lotharios with bated breath are also timing your suicide to coincide with the Rapture, so just in case Baby Jesus doesn't come you'll at least be out of here.

I live in San Francisco and I love those San Francisco values. Those same values the Republicans try to use as a club against Democrats during election cycles.
I wonder if they get that Nancy Pelosi isn't responsible for everything that happens in San Francisco? If she is, I need to speaker her soon.
I actually went to a townhall meeting with Pelosi as the main speaker (before she was the Speaker of the House) and she was tossed harder questions than she will ever deal with in the U.S. Capitol.

The hardest part of uncovering the torture genesis is admitting that high-level Democrats must have known what was going on - and did nothing. At the time of the disputed briefing, Pelosi was a member of the House Intelligence Committee; as Georgetown law professor Jonathan Turley pointed out on "Countdown" Friday, even if Pelosi's account is true – that she didn’t know waterboarding had yet been employed, but was told this "technique" had been legally vetted for possible use – there is no record that she had any objections. As Turley points out, the point of notification is to act. She did not.
In a democracy, our representatives are our servants, not our Dear Leaders to be propped up and deified. Pelosi needs to come clean and get clear on what she knew and when she knew it.

From the middle of the ClintonI administration to 2006, Democrats were completely marginalized. RNC humiliated them at every turn. They had no control whatsoever.
So this whole 'controversy' hinges on RNC claims that the Democrats tortured prisoners.
Fascinating.

Democratic everythings were isolated and shut out. RNC ran the media for almost 20 years. We don't know that she was told anything, and we never will.
