The formerly relevant former senator formerly from PA sang to his choir again, this time about how bad a liberal Obama is. Maybe people like me who voted for Reason will hear his song and decide our ideals are against our ideals. Mr. Obama has apparently turned his back on his constituency by electing to pursue other projects at the cost of what could be a dramatic and divisive, bloody and probably futile prosecution of hundreds of people ordered to break the law by the last 'president' and his friendly crew of undead Nixonites.
It was a gimme. We (the current majority) elected a uniter. Obama and his team understand that conflict is expensive and isn't an end. I'm interested in prosecuting the crap out of the criminals from the previous administration, which means almost all of that administration. I'd like to see charges brought against the Republic of Texas for doing Tom DeLay, Bush, Enron and Houston to us. But there is no remedy. You can't simply execute some people and REALLY, REALLY execute others. And we won't get that $400,000,000,000 back from Enron, they used a lot of it to do Bush to us.
So pragmatically, it would be a poor prioritization to dedicate so much money and effort to condemning the damned. Heck- it's almost half the country, if you want to get into it. Only Halliburton and Bechtel can win from building that much prison.
So I guess Pricky-poo, the self-hating latent homosexual pooch-screwer from DC who I suppose still represents the red PA fringe is not grateful for the statesmanship of Mr. Obama. Don't worry Ricky, Congress will have to stand up and do it for him, since they have to create the image of independence. Remember, one of the factors leading to the discrediting of the politically opportunist hodgepodge you represent was the hegemony of the lockstep RNC for the past 15 years.
But it will be someone else, and not Obama, tearing the country up again.
