How we can lose the '08 election:

Electoral votes are apportioned by their states. I'm pretty sure most states take it by county, adding up the regional wins. I don't like Obama as a candidate. I think he's right almost all the time, but I don't think he has enough national political base. Don't forget, he's technically black.

Assuming his support comes from liberals among us, who don't mind the black thing, and that the minority community supports him, Obama's votes will come mostly from the cities. But precincts are spread out. And then there's the south.

We've already seen the electoral vote out of whack with the popular vote, but we haven't acknowledged racism. Independents could swing this election, and minorities could. But those wide open spaces, the plains and the farm states and the Bible belt...

I think we can lose with Obama by having all the liberal, educated, minority and progressive votes and none of the old, grouchy, backward, conservative white guy votes. Hillary is already looking that straight in the eye. Obama is looking past it.

Republicans need to be busy doing anything else

Everything is much more expensive than it was in 2000. Gas is about 3X, milk and groceries appear to be up by about 30%. Oil hit $100/barrel again the other day. The dollar is worth about a third less than in 2000. Health insurance premiums go up by 10% each year, we're living on a diet of corn syrup and getting diabetes en masse. Jobs became our chief export, but now foreign investors are actually buying our companies at K-Mart prices. Japan, Venezuela, Russia have switched the currencies for oil to Euro and Yen. Our military is dependent on international mercenary organizations. People making almost all the money being made are taxed on none of it while families earning less than $90,000/year are propping up the economy producing all the trust fund revenue.

North Korea is balking and stalling, the global economy is dependent on Communist China, Russia is getting fat on petroleum money. Libya presides this month over the Security Council. And the Republican candidates are fixated on Jesus in the schools and overturning Roe. Women would finally be forced to reproduced in America.

And the Republicans would dedicate their next Presidential term to chasing down millions of illegal Mexican immigrants and formally shifting the tax burden onto the backs of those of us who spend most of our income. Their Executive would spend 4 years RIGHT NOW fighting the Democratic (Allah Akbar...) Congress for a national tax on spending, while they spend their term knocking on doors and checking ID cards. Of course, nutball Ron Paul makes the most sense again, electing to deport the illegals who get arrested.

There must be lead in the RNC water cooler. They're actually more retarded every year.
