GA Vote Fraud ? - Major Issues in Largest County

You all know that I had predicted an Obama upset in GA which did not happen. Bob Barr was a non factor, Barack hit his non-white number of 30+% but only got 23-24% of the white vote.

However we have some major discrepancies in vote totals in our largest county, Fulton, which is most of the city of Atlanta. While this would not change the Presidential results they would narrow the gap to 2-3% and help Jim Martin against Saxby Chambliss for Senate.

This was my email today to the local reporter on the issues I determined in Fulton County, the largest in GA. Something is clearly wrong here:

Cameron, you mention the larger registration in Fulton County and the high turnout in 2004. Why are the votes counted so far off that then?

I've created a spreadsheet (attached) from the Secy. Of State's data by county and something in the state's largest county, Fulton, is clearly wrong:

  • 2004 - Registration - 446,094
  • 2004 - Vote - 336,741
  • % 2004 - 75.4%
  • 2008 - Registration - 554,682 (+108,592, 24.2% increase)
  • 2008 - Vote - 346,223 (+9518, +2.7% increase)
  • % 2008 - 62.5% (-12.9%) - 2nd to lowest % in the state
  • 2004 Early Vote - 17,603
  • 2008 Early Vote - 107,938 (+90,335, +530%)

Simply hitting the same % as 2004 would show 77,000+ votes more and Fulton likely would

have exceeded the state average of 74.9%. Cobb was 79%, Dekalb 77.3%, Chatham 78.4%.

Ten largest counties average is 76.5% which adds another 8644 to the total for an 85,000+ gap.

It is inconceivable that Fulton would underperform the state or the large metro, heavily African American counties so where are the votes?

If Fulton is wrong what else is??

John:
I have a sister and many acquaintances in Fulton County and they agree; it is inconceivable that the county did not vote in numbers that matched adjacent counties. Not that all the votes would have been welcome, but the numbers just do not add up. Please keep posting about this until it is unraveled.

I heard Greg Palast on Clout Wednesday night mention enormous numbers of voters purged from the rolls in Georgia, and I'd heard before the election that about a quarter of the requests to compare voter registration database information to social security information came from Georgia. Were numbers down because voters were stopped from voting in the Democratic precincts? Maybe many people showed up and were pawned off with provisional ballots, or turned away entirely.

Numbers don't lie.

Can't say the same for people though.

Figure out who benefits from this apparent lie and you'll know who the liar(s) are.

It is evident, and probably criminal, that those persons responsible for this obvious numeric inconsistency, hold voters in such contempt. This won't go away and will likely make things worse still for republicans than they already are.

Dishonest = Stupid.

This needs national attention.

Agreed that this needs to not go away. In a revived Civil Rights Division of the Justice Department, investigation and prosecution of illegal voter suppression should be a priority.

At a higher level, federal law should be reconsidered to override and standardize the shambles of state voter ID laws, and to establish minimum standards for extending (early) absentee voting. States that 1) restrict voting to election day and 2) provide fewer voting machines than required for reasonable waiting periods effectively disenfranchise segments of the population who cannot afford to wait on line for hours. No doubt a disparate impact could be documented regarding single mothers, hourly workers, small business proprietors, etc.

John, maybe you want to remove your phone number from the post? (click my name, look for post on "helpful hints" with the new system for info on how to do that).

Beautiful post! Stay on this! It's clear from different reports that strange things have indeed happened in a few states, and not surprisingly, they're the states where the results remain undecided.

I'll have an update on this situation over the weekend. The systematic setup for voter suppression by our new Secy. of State and the GA legislature is pretty striking.

TheraP - I had a call from an inside source actually yesterday so I may leave the number a while

How much of the white vote did we need to win if we hit our 30+ number. I have been waiting for you or Article to comment on this since the election.
