		        <![CDATA[<p>I don't know that it needs to be "international", but I agree that it shouldn't be an "Israeli" or "Palestinian" city.  As I understand it, Jerusalem is run by a council-- make that council elected, half Israeli, half Palestinian.</p>

<p>I don't care if both countries call it their capital, or if neither claim it as a capital-- But we can't have one side but not the other claiming it.</p>

<p>A mutual defense treaty to protect the city between Israel and the (eventual) Palestinian state would also be a requirement, I'd think.<br />

		        <![CDATA[<p>I'm just amused, because first the story was "Obama won't be able to stand up to the Republicans".  Now it's "Oh no, Obama picked a chief of staff who can stand up to the Republicans!".</p>

<p>This is gonna be entertaining.  It's like Season 8 of the West Wing (even wackier, since Santos was based on Obama, and Josh was based on Rahm).<br />

		        <![CDATA[<p>I helped fund that party, and my only complaint is my job schedule won't permit me to be there.</p>

<p>And it's not, strictly speaking, a party.  It's a celebration of 21 months of hard work.  It's a celebration of the most extraordinary campaign of modern history.  It's a salute to all the volunteers, and donors, and supporters who helped Sen. Obama get to where he is today.</p>

<p>And finally, to put it in perspective, it represents about 9.5 hours of fund-raising during the month of September.</p>]]>

		        <![CDATA[<p>I don't know about "fall" for it, but it certainly should be a reminder that it's not over until Nov. 5th at the earliest.  The Republicans will fight tooth and claw for any state where the margin of victory is under 3%.</p>
