Quote: The Connecticut for Lieberman Party (CFL) rejects the fraud perpetrated on the members of this party and the citizens of Connecticut by Joe Lieberman when he used the creation of this party to get on the general election ballot in 2006. The CFL is an independent, anti-war, anti-corruption, pro-fiscal responsibility, pro-democracy party, that stands for individual liberties and real problem-solving in government. The CFL wants everyone to know that in the United States of America, voters are free to join any party they wish, and participate in the democratic process according to the laws of Connecticut and the United States.
We had five candidates for state representative on the ballot in Connecticut in 2008 (see below).

But excuse me, it seems of they really wanted to reject Lieberman they should change the business name of their organization and flaunt that in the press to get their new name out in the spotlight.

Moreover, what exactly was the fraud they are talking about? They backed him, right? What were they, mental, and now they got better?

No they didn't, OT.
Lieberman created CFL after he lost the Dem nomination, so he could run against the Dem nominee. It was a bogus creation, so, after he won, a professor over at Trinity College used the states bylaws and made hisself the chairman of CFL (it didn't have one, it was a bogus party--you see) and he has made the bogus party Lieberman created into an anti-Lieberman party. Poetic justice.
Lieberman actually was elected as an Independent. (CFL)
Party of 1.
Now he has company in his "party," I do not think he likes them too much, but he can't do anything about it. IOW, these people are using his bogus party much in the same way he did, disrespectfully.
Maybe I'll reregister.
=D

So... A buddy of mine is predicting that Lieberman will not run for re-election. Instead, he will resign before the next round... allowing time to elapse so he can get into the Lobby Business just in time to lobby the new bunch...
Anybody taking that bet?
I think I'm in.

No way would I take that bet. You may be right but then Lieberman loves the power he has. I wonder if he's ready to give it up yet. I doubt it.

Based on the current level of rightwing democrat senators, approximately 10% We need about 68 senators caucusing with the democrats in order to have a real filibuster proof majority.
If we could gain 8 more senate seats we would have it. I have no idea if this is possible but with the republican party disappearing, I have to wonder.
What could we accomplish is we really had the numbers in both House and Senate?
