You know what I am? I'm an Obama supporter. I am also pretty happy, if not downright joyful, about the way this race is shaping up. And amongst Democrats, I know I'm not alone.
The crime being alleged here is one of anger and desperation, and while I can hardly speak for all Obama supporters, I think we can all agree that anger and desperation aren't exactly the prevailing emotions in our camp.
Obviously, "this don't add up" doesn't prove or disprove anything; it just seems suspicious that there exists out there the perfect embodiment of McCain's "scary, black man" narrative.

David Iglesias is that figure, I think, we on the left pine for; the principled, honorable Republican. It's why so many of us fell for John McCain and to a lesser degree, Arlen Spector and Lincoln Chaffey. They were (or seemed like) good people.
Now, Iglesias may end up being the second most important man in America. He may be the voice of reason that we have to show to our in-laws and coworkers saying, "See? This is what I was talking about."
That said, conservatives, as of late, seem perfectly content shooting the messenger.
