If Bill Had Kept It In His Pants

For all those Hillary Clinton supporters looking for someone to blame for her loss, you need look no further than Bill Clinton's pecker.

If Bill had only been able to keep it in his pants...

- The Republicans would never have been able to impeach him on bogus charges.
- Al Gore, who lost by just a few hundred votes in Florida, would've easily been elected the 44th president.
- 9/11 may have been thwarted because President Gore would've paid much closer attention to the warnings.
- If 9/11 had been thwarted, there would've been no need for a war in Afghanistan or Iraq. (The war in Iraq would probably never have happened even after 9/11.)
- President Gore would've continued the successful Clinton policies of the 90's, leading us through 8 years of peace and prosperity (not to mention a big head start on addressing global warming).
- Hillary Clinton would have run for the 2008 Democratic nomination against Vice-President Lieberman and won easily, Lieberman having been exposed for the weenie that he is.
- Hillary Clinton would have easily beaten the Republican nominee, John McCain, and gone on to eight years of a successful presidency.

So to all you PUMA's out there...ponder that the next time you feel like sliming Barack Obama.

Why Blacks (or Anyone Else) Shouldn't Vote for Obama

(Ward Connerly, known for his efforts to rid the nation of Affirmative Action, recently explained to a group of conservatives why he's not supporting Obama. Read his speech here.)

Ah yes, the black conservative. A rare bird, but fascinating to study because of its counterintuitive verbiage.

You can usually spot him because he's the one who became rich and successful and can't understand for the life of him why his fellow blacks can't just pull themselves up by their bootstraps just like he did (even though he probably had plenty of help).

The first black man to come along in 232 years with a serious chance to become president, but he just can't bring himself to support him because he was a (gasp!) "community organizer," and therefore by definition a "socialist," which everyone knows is just a hop, skip, and a jump away from being a "communist."

Please.

He co-opts the language of the real civil rights movement in an attempt to end Affirmative Action, so apparently we can all get back to the good old days when it was just fine to discriminate at will against blacks when hiring, (which by the way, is quite different than giving someone a little extra advantage in an attempt to level the playing field).

He worries that Obama is going to "change the system." Well, let's hope so, because the "system" we're using now doesn't seem to be working all that well. It all goes back to conservatives and their fear of change. Well, sometimes you've got to change or die. And I think we may be rapidly arriving at that point.

I must say, that even though I really thought this election would be a great chance to get beyond race, conservatives seem hell-bent on talking about race at every turn. Obama warned everyone the other day about the Republican game plan: Make people afraid of the man with the funny name and his "feisty" wife. "And did I mention he's black?"

Hard-Hearted Hillary Hardcore: What is Wrong with these People?

The death of Tim Russert has shocked and saddened political junkies on both the left and the right. Commenters on both Huffington Post and Michelle Malkin have nothing but respect and praise for Russert.

But there is one particular group who's not mourning his death. In fact, this group apparently believes that, because he was part of the dreaded BIG MEDIA, he deserved to die. You see, it was BIG MEDIA who did in their goddess, Hillary Clinton, by asking her some tough questions. What most people would call "doing his job." So over at hillaryis44.com, they're taking a short break from sliming Barack Obama to celebrate the death of Tim Russert.

Now I know that these loonies represent a tiny minority of the 18 million people who voted for Hillary, but damn, they are a heartless bunch. One of the staff writers starts off by condescendingly saying that he/she's going to be "polite" by only posting links to a few of the many posts from their site that had previously attacked Russert. The commenters join in with some incredibly vicious and heartless attacks on a respected and beloved journalist who had passed on only hours before. They have to be read to be believed.

What is wrong with these people? Seriously. What is wrong with these people?

More Proof that FOX News Viewers are Morons

So FOX News does another one of their goofy surveys. This time it's about Obama's so-called "Uncle Gaffe," which FOX News is all over like white on rice.

It's a shocking scandal that could bring down Obama's candidacy. You see, he referred to his "great-uncle" as his "uncle", and got the name of the Nazi camp he helped to liberate wrong.

So anyway, FOX News viewers are asked to vote: Did Obama make an honest mistake or was he being intentionally misleading?

I'm sure you can guess the answer. Instead of actually thinking logically about the question, they obviously voted on the basis of which answer would make Obama look worse. They responded like Plavlov's dog and voted:

Honest Mistake: 19%
Intentionally Misleading: 81%

So apparently Obama thought that he would gain something, perhaps score some political points, by changing the name of the camp. Or maybe he figured that "great-uncle" just didn't carry the same gravitas as "uncle."

Right. Intentionally misleading. Morons.

Welcome to the Church of Hillary

Hillaryis44.com is a dark and scary place. There is where you will find the true believers, the hardcore Hillary faithful, who worship her with a white-heat intensity. They meet at the Church of Hillary to commiserate with each other as they desperately cling to the idea that maybe, just maybe, Mother Hillary will find a way to take them all to the promised land.

Hillaryis44.com is a closed society. You will find no dissenting voices there. Hillary is the goddess and Barack Obama is the devil, a point they attempt to prove by spending day after day viciously smearing the presumptive nominee in a way that is eerily and ironically similar to the right-wing attacks directed at Bill and Hillary over the years.

As the idea that all their efforts may be for naught begins to sink in, they are going in a new direction, attempting to organize a boycott of the Democratic party by staying home or voting for John McCain over Barack Obama. They make the argument that Obama in not electable and then attempt to prove their point by stating their intention to not vote for him — a classic example of a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Some Hillary supporters (her husband chief among them) have resorted to thinly-veiled extortion, saying that they may be willing to support Obama, but only if Hillary is offered the Veep position. Such a threat puts Obama in a no-win position. If he picks her, he'll look like a pushover who caved to pressure, but if he doesn't pick her, he risks losing the support of the Hillary crowd.

For the gang at Hillaryis44.com, the reason that their heroine has fallen on hard times is not that her campaign has been badly mismanaged. It's because she is the victim of sexism and misogyny by the media and anyone else who does not see the light of their cause. Of course, they don't talk about the incredibly vicious attacks that she and her supporters have unleased on Obama during the course of the campaign, mocking and belittling him, even going so far as to suggest that the Republican nominee is better qualified to be president. They are not in the least concerned that such attacks may damage Obama and the Democratic party - their party - in the general election.

Of course, what's remarkable about this attitude is the glaring short-sightedness it represents. Here is a group of people who, in a fit of pique, are willing to abandon their chosen party and the principles it represents because the candidate of their choice was not selected to be the party's nominee. Never mind that everything they believe in could be overturned by a Supreme Court rendered even more conservative by John McCain. Never mind that McCain represents a party whose leaders, ideas, and principles have created unmitigated disasters for the country. What's important to them is that they exact their revenge.

In my book, anyone who would so easily abandon their party just because they're miffed that their candidate lost is not a true Democrat.

The fact that some Democrats have indicated a willingness to cross over to the dark side and vote for McCain in November is, of course, a concern. Most observers, though, believe that the party will unite behind Obama and the dissenters will eventually come to represent a small, insignificant minority. Much will depend on Hillary Clinton and her enthusiasm or lack thereof towards Obama's candidacy.

The bottom line is this: Barack Obama is going to be the Democratic nominee for president. The historic nature of his candidacy will make for an exciting contest in the fall. His ability to attract Republicans and independents will boost his chances. Hopefully, the Hillary worshippers will come to realize that the Democratic party is bigger than just one person. It represents ideals and principles that are bigger than just one person. Hillary's diehard supporters should celebrate the fact that her historic candidacy, even in defeat, has opened doors for other women (maybe even Hillary) to walk through in future election years. They should join with Hillary and their party to help take back the White House.

The Truth is Out There!

Employing the theory that one good viral email campaign deserves another, I've decided to start my own (how hard could it be?).  Just copy-and-paste the message below to start the ball rolling!

**************************

The Truth is Out There!

This year Americans go to the polls to choose a new president. It's an exciting time when we celebrate our freedom by exercising our right to vote for the candidate of our choice.

The Internet is a wonderful tool for learning about the candidates and what they stand for. Unfortunately, this tool can be abused. This year, one candidate in particular has been the victim of a widespread and vicious email campaign to smear him. Viral emails have been forwarded to millions of people which attempt to paint Barack Obama as unpatriotic and unAmerican.

Unfortunately, these emails have taken on a life of their own and many voters have been taken in by them. The ridiculous claims in these emails can be easily refuted, but most people don't take the time to attempt to verify their truthfulness (or lack thereof).

There are many excellent sources of verifiable information on the Internet. One site in particular, Snopes.com, has built a solid reputation by painstakingly researching thousands of viral emails and urban legends in an attempt to either confirm or debunk them. They have catalogued and researched a long list of the negative Obama emails that are floating around on the Internet.

The purpose of this email is to encourage readers to use this valuable resource whenever they want to check out the truthfulness of a message that has landed in their inbox. Click on the link below to access the Barack Obama section:

Snopes

So now it's up to people like you to fight fire with fire. Become a part of this viral email campaign to encourage people to learn the truth about Barack Obama for themselves. Forward this email to everyone you know and encourage them to send it to everyone they know.

Whether you're a Democrat or a Republican, Americans' basic sense of fairness demands that a candidate be given a fair hearing. Every campaign has its share of negative advertising and messages, but the sort of blatant deceit and lies represented by the current viral email campaign against Barack Obama should not go unchallenged.

As we have all learned from "The X Files": The Truth is out there. Sometimes it just takes a little excavation to get at it.

Marty Parrish - American Hero!

At a time when Barack Obama is attacked for using the word "bitter," it's about time someone asked McCain about calling his wife the "c-word." At a recent town hall meeting, Marty Parrish asked the Senator directly, "Is it true that you called your wife a c**t?

McCain, rather ironically, ducked the question by scolding Mr. Parrish for using such language, and moved on to the next questioner. Watch the video here.

The charge was made by Cliff Schecter in his new book, "The Real McCain," and was witnessed by McCain aides as well as three reporters.

The most troubling aspect of this story is that Parrish, after asking the question, was escorted out of the room and questioned by the secret service. Apparently free speech is as unwelcome at McCain's town hall meetings as at Bush's.
