Campaigning Moratorium
It is reported that Mitt Romney is already cmapaigning for 2012. Sarah Palin has her eyes on the prize as well. We are seeing far too much of Newt Gingrich. Now I'm not saying Newt is actually viable, or even Sarah Palin, but they think they are and they have begun their march to the White House.
There ought to be a tw- year moratorium on campaigning for the Presidency. Campaigning at this time assumes the next President, who has yet to even put one piece of paper into the desk in the Oval Office, needs replacing. It also fails to offer any effort to creating a more perfect union at this time. It suggests their supporters should be doign nothing for the next four years except work to return their party to power.
What about recognizing that there is a crisis that demands our full and undivided attention immediately? What about recognizing that this country is made up of Democrats, Republicans, and Independents, and it is all us together that are required to turn this around? It is truly deplorable that these partisans cannot work toward a common good unless they are in charge. That alone should signal the lack of character one would hope to have in a Commander-in-Chief. I apologize. I've already given too much time to these losers.
