Abortion and Jay the Priest

Enough!  Jay the Priest has about as much expertise regarding politics as Joe the Plumber.  Why has the MSM felt obligated to report on this guy's opinion as a Catholic priest when he's not an official spokesperson for the Catholic Church. He's not a bishop, never mind a cardinal.  He's little more then the french fry guy!

The single issue voter should be discouraged by a church and society.  They fail to see the whole.  In this instance, the logic of the priest and these single issue voters is severely flawed.  Having abortions be legal does not guarantee that anyone will have an abortion.  It remains the choice of an individual.  We all know that whether abortions are legal or not, they will be sought.  An unwanted pregnancy is a desperate situation.

Legalization does nothing to increase the frequency of abortions.  The truth is that Obama suggested we find ways to reduce the frequency of abortions, so what is wrong about that? While making abortions illegal may reduce the number of abortions, illicit back alley abortions have led to the deaths of many young woman.  Is it Christian to dismiss their lives?

John McCain supports the war.  He even sang about bombing Iran, leading some to refer to him as a war monger.  Going to war guarantees death.  It is a decision to impose death.  Allowing abortion is not the decision to impose death.  It merely allows a safer environment for the mother to survive.  Her choice will not likely be based on whether it is legal or not.

Jay the Priest, your fifteen minutes are up.  Alert the MSM.

Good-bye UAW, Hello 3rd World - Mission Accomplished

The Republican ruse has worked!  As the US auto industry collapses, and this Adminstration stands idly watching, the UAW and organized labor will bear the brunt of the blame.  Adamantly, George W. Bush has retained the fallacious position that raising taxes on the wealthy will not help this economy.  Zom-Bushes, the unthinking, will echo this fairy tale.  These slaves to their emotions who have had angry reactions to unions making too much money never asked themselves why are they were making so little.  The raging rabble will never admit that maybe they were worth more then they were being paid, that they should have received a larger share of the profits from their labor.

Since Ronald Reagan, that presidential icon of conservatism, dismantled PATCO, the problem with our economy became that the workers were paid too much.  Be assured that we will soon find out how little workers will accept to build cars once the US auto industry and the unions are history.

What will this world look like without the middle class?  Just go south of the border, anywhere between Texas and Antarctica.  The US will resemble any one of those countries.  What made this nation a great place to be was the ability for common people to rise above a meager existence, to obtain an education and figure a way to wealth.  As the treasury is plundered in these last days of Dubya, and he spreads the wealth around to his base, "the haves and have mores", the future for Joe the Plumber looks very grim indeed, but he's ready to scream at anybody who disagrees with him.  Because he sees the problem as this simple equation of labor being paid too much ... and they get too much healthcare, too!

A Great Big Heaping Dump from Dubya

"See ya!"  George W. Bush seems to say on his way out the door.  "Left a few presents for you!"

Bush is leaving his legacy across this country in so many ways, but none of them are more permanent then what he has done to this country on behalf of his friends in the mining industry.  "Friends First" should have been his campaign slogan.  But that would have been honest, something completely lacking in the character of the fading President.

The specific souvenir about which this article refers is mountain top removal mining.  Yes, read it again if need be, Bush has decreed that he has no problem at all with removing an entire mountain top to get at coal and other natural resources.  Forests, streams, habitat, society in general?!?  One might be concerned with these things, but for Dubya it's all about profit.  Profit trumps everything.

"The effects of this mining process are multiple, negative and permanent. To physically remove the tops of the mountains destroys habitat, forest, natural drainage. Filling the valleys pollutes water, kills streams, destroys communities. Processing creates air and water pollution. All of these combine and destroy in a matter of months a mountain system that took natural systems hundreds of millions of years to create. I refuse to accept that "we need the coal, we need the energy from the coal." There MUST be a better way. This process, from a human perspective, destroys permanently. The mountains will never be the same; the streams and valleys will never be the same; this is their end. It is more than rape, it is murder." (laelyn.worpress.com)

Republicans just cannot destroy this planet fast enough, it seems.  Even in this pathetic economy, they wish to scrape away whole mountains to sell the nations resources when prices are at the bottom.  It is unfathomable, yet it is their way of getting a free ride.  These resources belong to a nation, and yet these miners feel they are beholden to no one.  Probably because they believe they are the only real Amerikans anyway.

2008: The Right Wins Again!!!

So you are thinking Obama was elected and Congress gets all blue.  How did the Right win?  It's the economy, stupid!  While in the political realm Republican politicians are running for cover, the financial sector is actually beaming with pride.  The biggest economic players are going to grow their wealth exponentially over the next decade and organized labor will be a footnote in history.  This is the legacy of George W Bush, and his base, the godless wealthy, who will forever call him a hero.

Only the people in the pews really believed George W. Bush had good intentions.  They worked hard to get him re-elected because he was on a mission from God, saving fetuses.  In the end, having a very Red Congress, the apple was within reach, but nothing was delivered.  This makes sense when one considers that the religious faction would disappear once their mission was accomplished and abortions made illegal.  So the politicians had to posture and play the role, but not deliver.  Or else how could they get re-elected?

Now this is a pretty extreme vision here, but the Godless Wealthy Bastards [GWB - Same initials as Dubya, and he is one of them] are going to be just fine.  They are already reaping terrific rewards.  The New World Order is coming to fruition with this meltdown.  Who are the winners when these financial institutions collapse?  The ones left standing.  And are those responsible for the collapse of their institutions being exiled?  Not at all.  This is where the GWB get all misty at how phenomenal their wealth will be.  Afterall, a GWB does not take ownership of any institution, they simply see if their bank account grew.  It's the only bank account that matters.

GWB see only themselves.  They are not a part of any country or institution.  They trade all around the world.  Patriotism is merely the sparkly thing that gets people to take up arms against the non-cooperative.    If the goal was really to fight for democracy and avenge 9/11, we would be in Saudi Arabi and Bin Laden would be dead. The Saudi royalty cooperate nicely with the GWB. Don't forget that Bin Laden made Afghanistan and Iraq possible.  An enormous transfer of wealth has taken place due to these financial boondoggles with contractors and defense corporations reaping unthinkable rewards.  Trillions of dollars were removed from the United States treasury and that was just the beginning.  The GWB owe a great deal of thanks to the Saudis and their favorite son who made it all possible.

What else will the Right win?  The destruction of organized labor.  Today the news reported that even though there is a bailout on the table, in this Administration or the next, the mend will not repair the problem and simply postpone the inevitable.  The Big 3 are making money in other countries.  They have much more fuel efficient cars in Europe.  They will survive, and if they do not, the GWB certainly will and they will emerge in some other entity.  Only the next time, there will be no unions and decent wages will be unattainable.  There goes the middle class and a once great nation.

Transformation will take place during the Obama presidency, but if the economy continues to implode as it currently is, and the Right continues to deplete the treasury and our international credit the way it has these last few months, distributing innumerable dollars of unknowable value, what will emerge will be a Third World Country.  The GWB will still be sitting pretty, however.  Their wealth will protect them and allow them to take advantage of the terrific sales going on right now on Wall Street, just as they have with the war and failing banks.

Up next, credit cards!  Impoverishing the individuals of the middle class, one at a time.  Okay, the borrowers should have been more aware of how much money they did not have, but it's hard to leave a dream home once a person has moved into that house.  They also were trusting the professional lenders who advised them they would be able to refinance their ARM before the Great Leap Forward.  But you have to listen very carefully to these eloquent GWB.  They said could, as in maybe, as in maybe not.  To the GWB, whether these were good loans or bad was irrelevant, because when the loans failed, they were out of the hands of the original lenders.  Those original lenders made out quite nicely.

This is why the headline of this article states such a non-sequitor to this momentous occassion, the election of an African-American to the White House.  Obama may merely become the scapegoat in chief.  It is a monumental task before him, before the middle class, to right the ship.  This is especially true when the GWB have no stake in its success because they are all going to be just fine no matter how it all turns out.  Obama and the middle class have little more then hope since the executives of all these institutions are all Republican with the outspoken agenda to dismanle government and the organization of the middle class.  They're pretty near done now.  Newsflash:  The Right Won.
